SCARLETT Moffatt has revealed why ITV2 dating show Love Bites was axed – but has hinted that a reboot may be on the cards.
The TV presenter, 34, hosted the popular cooking/dating programme from 2020 to 2021 – which saw three single cooks each prepare a three-course meal for one singleton, looking for love.
But the show was scrapped after just 30 episodes.
Scarlett – who welcomed son Jude with fiance Scott Dobinson in June 2023 - has now revealed why it was never commissioned for a second series.
Scarlett exclusively told The Sun: “I get so many people talking about Love Bites, that was a show that we did during Covid.
"We did around 30 episodes, we just did bulk episodes because it was easy and something that could be filmed during Covid but obviously they still needed new shows.

“It was never meant to be a long thing, it was just meant to be something for Covid and loads of people are always asking ‘when is Love Bites back?’.
“I feel like if ever I was to do my own show, I’d want to bring Love Bites back, simply because loads of people always say that they love it.
“Whenever you flick through, it’s on. It’s a good one to have in the background, where you can dip in and out of it.”
Mum-of-one Scarlett, who has been enjoying motherhood for the last 12 months, said she has also landed a new TV project and will return to our screens next year.

She told us: “Yes, I definitely am [back on your screens next year]. I’m really excited about it but I can’t tell anyone for eight months. TV wise, I’ve been so lucky that I’ve been filming something.”
Scarlett gushed over being a new mum to one-year-old Jude and said it has changed her life for the better.
“I love motherhood, I genuinely feel like this is what I was made to do,” she shared.
“I honestly thought, I’m not the most patient of people – I feel like Jude has really changed that and I’m more patient and chilled and I feel like I get less bothered by things. Now, as long as Jude is healthy, nothing else really stresses me out that much.
“Everything is fine as long as Jude’s fine. I love it – we do so much and so many fun activities, I feel like I get to be a big kid again.
“This year, he sort of understands Christmas a little bit more because I feel like we’ve got the magic of Christmas back.”
The I’m A Celeb champion and TV favourite also revealed her biggest motherhood fears.
She went on to say: “The biggest challenge is the endless worry – this is going to sound very dark but you realise that you’re not immortal.
“Before I’d just go on a rollercoaster but now I’m like ‘oh it looks a bit shaky, it’s good for driving because I feel like now I’m even a more safe driver, especially when I’ve got precious cargo in the car.
“You don’t even worry about yourself, you worry about yourself thinking ‘I need to make sure I’m okay, so I can look after Jude’.
“Your priorities just shift, other than that, it’s just really fun. He looks exactly like Scott but has my personality. He loves Sing the movie – I always put the songs on and he dances along.”
Speaking about how she balances parenthood and work life, Scarlett said: “I’m so lucky, Scott is a police officer who works full-time but we just manage. We’re really lucky we’ve got a village of people.
"My mum and dad, Scott’s mum and dad. My nan and pap are still here, we all just chip in together, it’s really lovely.”
Scarlett, who got engaged to Scott last November in a romantic proposal, said she is yet to plan her wedding - but promised she'll have TWO wedding dresses.
"I’ve always said that I want a jumpsuit – like a tassel one for the night. I love dancing at weddings, I always see people in gowns and think you can’t properly get your groove on. I’ll be dropping to the floor like it’s hot in a big wedding gown – I’ll need a tassel jumpsuit 100 per cent," she shared.
"We have said that we need to plan it after Christmas, we’re so laid back.
"We’ve been engaged a whole year now.
"I’ve always said, I’m not doing what my mum and dad done, they were together 26 years before they got married. I can’t do that, I can’t have a long engagement. I think definitely next year we’ll sort it out."
While Christmas at the Moffatt/Dobinson household will be merry this year - with a full house hosted by Scarlett.
She added: "I’m hosting Christmas this year, I’m not cooking.
"My friend’s bringing the puddings and my mum’s making the rest of it.
