Coleen Rooney reveals she secretly struggled with ‘alcohol withdrawal’ on I’m A Celeb

COLEEN Rooney has revealed her secret struggle with alcohol withdrawal while in the famous I'm A Celeb jungle.

The beloved WAG, 38, was the runner-up to McFly's Danny Jones, who was crowned King Of The Jungle last night during the final of the hit ITV show.

Narrowly missing out on winning I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! 2024, Coleen has now spoken out on national television.

Appearing on Good Morning Britain today, Coleen revealed her alcohol withdrawal struggles when she made the candid confession to Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley.

Speaking about being in the jungle and worlds away from civilisation, Coleen admitted: "After a few days in I was thinking 'what have I signed up for? What am I doing here?'."

She added: "And then the headaches set in.

"Obviously withdrawal from caffeine, sugar, and alcohol.

"And then the hunger, we didn’t get stars in the first week."

She went on to say: "Dean didn't succeed in some of the trials so we were on limited food and the hunger was real.

"The first week was a struggle.

"We got used to the rice and beans in the end. I will never cook rice and beans again."

Last night during the final episode, the final three enjoyed a slap-up feast after winning all the stars required to enjoy a starter, main, dessert, and drink.

I've one final thing to say about Coleen - but Danny deserved to win even though I loved the Rev

Coleen opted for a starter of bruschetta, spaghetti bolognese with flaky parmesan cheese and garlic bread for her main course.

Then, for dessert, she opted for fresh cream profiteroles with warm Nutella sauce and a glass of French pale Provence rose for her drink.

While she was mulling over what to choose, Coleen admitted that she wished she could have had vodka and Pepsi for her dessert.

RUNNER-UP TO DANNY JONES

This comes after Coleen spoke out moments after she lost out on the crown and title, with her admitting that she was proud of how far she got as she didn't think she'd last as long as she did.

Speaking to Joel Dommett on the I'm A Celeb spin-off show Unpacked, Coleen revealed that she had been expecting to leave for a while.

"I didn't think I would make it that far," she said. “You know, I was ready to go a week ago.

"And you know, I have my bag packed every morning with everything in, and then I go back up and unpack, and then I come back."

She added: "But the feeling that people are voting to keep it in meant a lot to me.

"And you know, I've celebrated a lot of people in my life, so for people to celebrate me, I felt it was quite yet special."

JUNGLE LESSONS

Coleen then said that she has learned that she can be "patient".

"Yeah, there's been times in there where, you know, no one's annoying me, but there's been certain things who have wanted to step in and do it but I've let it be.

"So I think I'm going to be a bit more patient when I get out of here," she candidly confessed.
