Jeremy Clarkson forced to close Diddly Squat farm shop after Storm Darragh wreaks havoc
A big attraction and the site took a battering
STORM Darragh caused major problems for Jeremy Clarkson and the team at Diddly Squat Farm this weekend.
Visitors planning to venture to the Oxfordshire site were disappointed to hear that a popular part of the operation has been closed due to damage.

Posting on socials this weekend, the team at Jeremy’s pub, The Farmer’s Dog, confirmed that the famous Grand Tour tent had been damaged by Darragh and had to be closed for repair.
That meant that the farm’s butchers and the onsite off-license, Hops&Chops, had to shut down along with the farm shop.
The Grand Tour star’s garden kitchen, The Farmer’s Puppy, also had to close amid high winds and lashing rain.
The post said: “Sadly our Grand Tour tent will be closing for some much needed wind repair today.”

But keen not to deter everyone from visiting, the account did confirm that The Farmer’s Dog pub remained open despite the elements.
The tent itself is something of a draw for visitors thanks to its previous life touring the contents of the world with Jeremy, Richard Hammond and James May on the Amazon Prime, Grand Tour series.
After surviving a gruelling filming schedule and travel all over the planet, Darragh forced the tent to finally take a break.
Many people commented on the post and were concerned for the wellbeing of everyone at Diddly Squat.

One fan said: “As long as everyone is safe and well that’s the main thing, I am sure you will be back and running before you know it.”
Another had braved the weather to visit regardless saying “We was there yesterday & wow was it windy, also meant to say a huge thanks to one of staff who helped sort our friend in wheelchair he was great.”
One commentor did draw the attention of Jeremy himself after suggesting that the damage could have been foreseen: “Surprised you didn't take it down before the storm came would of been easier.”
Jeremy was keen to point out that,“It takes 24 people seven days to put that thing up or take it down."
Having got a reply from the famous famer the original commentator was quick to backtrack, replying: “ahhh didn't realise that Jeremy fair point there then hope it wasn't to damaged in the storm.”

- Lisa Hogan: A former actress and Jeremy's partner, who assists in the running of the farm shop.
- Kaleb Cooper: A young farm worker from Chipping Norton, who forms a double act with Jeremy on-screen. He's later promoted to farm manager in series three.
- Gerald Cooper: Specialist in the construction and maintenance of dry stone walls and the farm's "head of security". Of no relation to Kaleb.
- Charlie Ireland: Nicknamed "Cheerful Charlie", a professional land agent who advises Jeremy on land management.
It’s not clear exactly when all services will be up and running again but the pub did reply to a customer suggesting the farm shop would be back open this week.
Despite the weather, it's been a good weekend for Jeremy as his partner Lisa took to socials to celebrate the couple's eighth anniversary together.
