The emotional divulge was filmed for her podcast, Charlotte Dawson's Naughty Corner, and the duo both pour their hearts out in the candid therapy session.

It comes after she discovered Matt had been messaging another woman he met online back in August.

The mum-of-two kicked the former rugby player, 33, out of their family home after his betrayal was revealed.

The brunette told fans in the post shared on social media: "Well this is an emotional one… The most requested guest on the pod @charlottesnaughtycorner hopefully this will clear all the 'it's a showmance' up… I wish it was. Hopefully this ep helps other couples.

Matt explained: “I got a message off her agent who said someone’s sold a story on you.

“I was heartbroken. I couldn't eat, couldn't sleep.

“I love my kids and I love Charlotte to pieces.”

He added: “It's been hard because we've had kids and stuff.”

Asked if his betrayal was because he ‘missed the attention’, he revealed: “Yeah, probably.”

On ‘massively’ regretting his actions, he told Charlotte: “I just want you to know I'm yours.

“I love you. You're my life.”

The pair, who were rocked by Matt's sexting scandal, are due to get married and have recently started planning their wedding.

The Sun previously told how Charlotte had allowed Matt to return to the family home as they worked to save their relationship.

The ex Swinton Lions player previously appeared on Celebs Go Dating together with his then-girlfriend Charlotte.

The pair have been in an on-off relationship since 2016 and split shortly after their appearance on the dating show in 2020.

However, they worked through their issues and reconciled soon after.

Matt proposed to Charlotte in September 2020, a few months before the birth of their first son.

Charlotte and Matt share Noah, who was born in January 2021, and their second son Jude, who they welcomed in July 2023.

In August, Charlotte revealed she was pregnant with her third child.
