A rep for the pair told us:  “Over the last couple of days Nicole and Ciaran have made the mutual decision to part ways.

“They have left the relationship on amicable terms, and will remain good friends going forward.”

Nicole, 24, has since made the move to unfollow fellow Welsh star Ciaran, 21, on social media – just days after deleting most of her pictures with him.

Fans were concerned about the pair after spotting them looking very uncomfortable in a recent promotional video.

In the ad, Ciaran appeared distant and stiff, a stark contrast to their previously playful and affectionate interactions.

Their followers were quick to point out how forced the video seemed, with many commenting that the chemistry between them was non-existent.

Nicole and Ciaran came in second place on Love Island over the summer.

Despite being the only official couple in the villa they missed out on the top prize to Josh Oyinsan and Mimii Ngulube.

They ended up moving in together as soon as the show ended.

And speaking about their future, Nicole told gushed: “If I didn’t think we were going to get married and have babies one day, we wouldn’t be together, so I’d say that’s definitely on the cards in the future. Ci would be an amazing dad.”

Ciaran also opened up about how they made their relationship work, telling : “I think the important thing is communication.

“You need to be with someone who understands you and who you can talk to about anything. Also, always try to have fun, even when doing the boring stuff. And support each other, be happy for each other.”
