Fuming Strictly fans slam semi-final show and brand it a ‘fix’ after favourite is axed in dance off

Four celebrities will dance in the final next week

FUMING Strictly fans have slammed the semi-final show and branded it a ‘fix’ after one of the show favourites was axed after the dance off.

At the start of tonight's instalment of the results show it was revealed that Love Islander Tasha Ghouri was one of the celebrities to perform in the dance off this evening.

After Claudia Winkleman spoke to Chris McClausland and Sarah Hadland upstairs, it was revealed who would be up against the reality star.

It was then revealed that Pete Wicks would be the second famous face in the dance off.

Pete and Tasha then gave it their all for a place in the final next week.

But viewers weren't very impressed with the two taking part in the dance off.

Fans flocked to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their frustrations.

One said: ";Absolute fix these results..."

Another wrote: "It's an absolute joke that Tasha is in the dance off and Chris, who was in the bottom 2 on the leaderboard has gone through. A complete fix."

Pete narrowly missed out on a place in the final after the judges decided to save Tasha.

Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke went with Tasha, and despite her vote not counting, Shirley Ballas agreed she would have done the same.

Pete spoke so highly of the show when he spoke to Tess Daly.

After receiving their verdict, departing Pete said: “It’s been wild.

“I’ve been quite honest about the fact that I didn’t necessarily want to do this in the first place, but everyone else wanted me to do it, and I am so, so glad that I did it.

“You don’t always have to be the best, but if you enjoy something then why shouldn’t you have a go at it?

“I’ve tried my best from day one, I said I was in for a penny, in for a pound and I’ve done it, it’s been beautiful.”

Last night Pete and Jowita fuelled romance rumours after they sealed their last dance with a 'kiss'.

The pair have kept people guessing on their partnership during the series, as well as Pete being linked with Love Island's Maura Higgins.

This means that there are four celebrities left battling it out to be crowned winner of Strictly 2024.

Tasha, Sarah Hadland, Chris McCausland and JB Gill will be performing in the final next week.
