I’m A Celebrity star Barry McGuigan’s son Shane has been rushed to hospital.
The boxing trainer, 36, who previously dated Barry’s jungle campmate Maura Higgins, shared a social media snap hooked up on a drip.
He took to his instagram stories and shared a picture of him looking sad with a canula in his arm.
Shane captioned the image: “It’s 1 thing after another atm.”
He did not reveal the nature of his health scare.
Shane’s dad Barry and his ex Maura were evicted from the jungle in Thursday night’s episode in a surprise double elimination.
Lots of fans were shocked by the result but claimed the pair were hindered by the fact that viewers in the Republic of Ireland couldn’t vote.
Shane is currently engaged to singer songwiter Taylor West and they have two children together.
Their boys are named Finley George & Caelan James.
Shane appeared on Good Morning Britain recently, where he spoke about his ex Maura.
Discussing his dad’s friendship with Maura, he said: “Maura as well she’s an Irish girl – she’s from a small town in Ireland – so they’re both from the sticks. They would have been growing up as kids in a small town so there would be similarities there.”
Maura and Shane met when she was working as a ring girl and he was doing commentaries on fights for a radio station.
She was on ring card duty for the David Haye vs Tony Bellew rematch in 2018, which Shane was covering on the airwaves.
After dating briefly, they decided to call it a day and have remained mates.
An insider revealed that living between Ireland and London, where Shane was based at the time, made it difficult for the relationship to work.
The source said: “Maura has brains and beauty and she quickly caught Shane’s eye.
“They got chatting and had instant chemistry so of course he asked her out.
“At the time Maura lived in Ireland, and Shane was running his boxing gym in London, and she was travelling a lot for work so it wasn’t easy to pull off.
“There were no hard feelings when it ended.”
