Coleen Rooney’s mum reveals heartbreaking question the I’m A Celeb star asked her during their tearful camp reunion

COLEEN Rooney's mum Colette, has spoken about meeting her daughter in the jungle, and how Coleen is worried what viewers think of her.

Colette says one of Coleen's biggest concerns from her time in Australia is that she didn't appear "boring".

She took grandsons Kit, eight and Cass, six, to visit their mum at camp, and says what her daughter asked her, "broke her heart".

Colette told The Mirror: "As I held her, one of the things she said to me was 'mum, have I been boring?'

"It broke my heart hearing that but I said, 'no, you've been yourself and that's all that matters.'"

And Colette also revealed just how special the moment was, when she and two of her grandsons were able to see Coleen again, after almost three weeks in the Outback.

She says: "They keep asking: 'Is she here, really? They kept thinking she was going to jump out from behind a bush any minute.

"We kept saying to them, 'five minutes and you'll see your mum again,' they just couldn't wait and it was so lovely."

And it seems Coleen was just as happy to see two of her boys, as they were to see her.

Colette adds: "I heard almost a squeal of a cry from her, and my heart just lifted when I saw her.

"It was wonderful seeing the boys in her arms, and they were so excited."

Coleen lives in a £20 million Cheshire mansion, with former Manchester United and England striker husband Wayne Rooney, and their four boys.

But the 38-year-old recently revealed she still loves searching for a bargain at the shops.

However, whenever she does frequent her favourite stores, other shoppers are often shocked to see her there.

Responding to campmate GK Barry, saying people are sometimes surprised to see her shopping "somewhere normal", Coleen agreed.

Coleen said: "I get than in B&M or Home Bargains, they'll be like: 'Why are you shopping in here?'

Coleen, Danny Jones and Reverend Richard Coles are all through to the I'm A Celeb final, which will see the winner crowned today (8/12/24).

They all competed in Celebrity Cyclone on Saturday, along with Oti Mabuse.

The Strictly star was voted out by viewers, leaving the trio to fight it out to be crowned King or Queen of the Jungle.
