Dalgliesh viewers stunned as they spot a 90s Casualty star in Channel 5 drama saying ‘I didn’t recognise her’
DALGLIEISH fans were surprised to see a familiar face among the cast of Channel 5's hit drama, saying, "I didn't recognise her."
The crime drama is back for its third series and a former Casualty plays Detective Inspector Adam Dagliesh's love interest in the 1970s period drama.
She was introduced in last night's opening episode as Dr Emma Lavenham. Still, many will recognise the 49-year-old actress from her role as Tina Seabrook in Casualty in the nineties.
Fans gasped as the penny dropped, some commenting on social media.
One fan took to X, formerly Twitter, to say: "I didn't recognise Claire Goose for a minute there in Dagliesh."
Others joined in, saying: "They have aged her, but you can't not know her voice."

Another said: "Ah, I thought I recognised her from somewhere."
Claire went on from Casualty to appear in shows such as Unforgotten, The Bay, Mount Pleasant, and most recently, The Cuckoo.
She also appeared in The Murdoch Mysteries as Dr Katherine Talbot, a physician and supporter of the suffragettes.
These days, Claire balances her acting with her family life.

She is married to TV producer, writer, and director Craig Woodrow, and they have two children, both girls.
She told Hello!: "It's lovely having two girls. They love baking, dressing up, and playing with makeup."
When she and her husband do get to go out, they like to go for a nice meal.
In 2015, she admitted, her husband is much better at "getting up for the kids and coping on less sleep."
Now with the kids slightly older, she is taking up more acting roles. Her youngest daughter celebrated her eighth birthday back in 2020, making her about 12 now.
Dalgliesh series three began last night on Channel 5, and episode two will air tonight at 9pm.
Dalgliesh is on every Thursday and Friday at 9pm Channel 5 or stream it on My5.
