RICKY Hatton and Claire Sweeney have SPLIT just eight months after finding love on Dancing on Ice.

The boxer and Coronation Street star met on the 2024 series of the ITV skating show earlier this year.

The couple initially dated in secret and enjoyed a holiday to Tenerife together in May before going public with their romance.

But now reports Ricky, 46, and Claire, 53, have gone their separate ways.

A source told the publication: "Claire and Ricky remain good friends, there has been no fallout between them.

"They decided they're better off as pals and are no longer romantically together."

The insider said the couple's different lifestyles is what came between them, despite a lot of shared interests.

They added: "While Claire is one of the biggest stars on Coronation Street and is very career-gliding, Ricky's more freewheeling and unpredictable."

The source added that Ricky was already planning to head off to Tenerife "where he feels more at home", while Claire is focusing on her work and being consoled by her celeb pals and Coronation Street cast mates.

Ricky and Claire had been friends for 25 years before things became romantic after they both appeared on Dancing on Ice at the start of the year.

In July, Claire said during an appearance on Lorraine: "We always passed each other at events, we did a TV show together, first of all I met him in La Manga in the early 2000s and then we did dance for Comic Relief together in 2013 and then met on Dancing On Ice. It's been great."

Before they dated, Ricky was in a relationship with beautician Angela Blemmings, but that ended two years ago.

Meanwhile Claire - who plays Cassie Plummer in Coronation Street - had been single since her split from ex-Daniel Reilly in 2017.

The former couple have son Jaxon together.
