Monty Don returns to stage just days after worrying health scare left him in hospital and forced to cancel gigs
MONTY Don has returned to the stage for the first time since he was rushed to A&E.
Last week, the Gardeners' World star was forced to cancel six gigs after he had to stay in hospital following a mystery health scare.
But over the weekend, Monty, 69, has resumed his tour and shared snaps on his Instagram.
Posting a picture of one of his dressing rooms, Monty wrote: "I'm back on the road and at the Regent theatre Ipswich.
"As dressing rooms go this has the charm of a polling booth- but the theatre is great and it will be a good evening.
The next post was from Cambridge's Corn Exchange of the empty theatre before his audience arrived.

Monty said: "Last time I was here was in 1977 to watch wrestling..."
Another snap showed his dressing room, complete with fruit, teabags and plenty water to keep him hydrated and healthy during the evening.
The star will have been glad to be back in front of his fans after being forced to cancel his shows in Exeter, Truro, Bath, and Nottingham last weekend.
Monty explained the situation in an Instagram video, saying, "Hello. I am so sorry to have disappointed all those people who were going to come and see me in Exeter and Truro and Bath and Nottingham."

He revealed that his health took a sudden turn on Friday afternoon.
The TV personality continued: "I was rushed to A&E. I was kept in at the hospital over Saturday, Sunday, and Monday and had to have drips and all the rest of it."
But Monty reassured fans that his condition had improved and he was resting at home.
He said: "I came home last night, and I’m feeling much better. I’m going to spend the next few days quietly recuperating here at home and hopefully by the weekend I’ll be back to full fitness."
And it seems like he was on fine form when he returned to the stage, as one fan commented under his latest snap: "Thanks for a wonderful talk in Cambridge last night, we really enjoyed it.
"Obviously you're still having to pace yourself and said you were sorry to have to reschedule the postponed afternoon talk in Cambridge for the new year. But it was great, thanks!"
Another added: "It was well worth the wait. Inspiring and funny. Thank you from a Canadian who is much happier gardening in Cambridge!"
