Oti, 33, confided in Coleen about her hesitation to start a family as a professional dancer.

She told the WAG: “Because I’m a dancer, it was really difficult to say when I would start having a family because my body is my job and also you have to be financially ready.”

The former Strictly pro added: “Eventually I’ll have to give all of this up and just dedicate my life to them because I want to be there, I want to do the school run.”

Coleen encouraged Oti to embrace her desire to be a mum, saying: “You can still be a strong individual, dedicating your life to that.”

The conversation became even more universal when Oti reflected on societal expectations for women, admitting: “I think there’s this preconceived notion that when you’re a housewife you’ve got no ambition.”

Coleen agreed that this is a struggle faced by many women, but provided a different perspective for people who are critical of stay at home mums to consider, sharing: “I come across a lot of women who find it easy to come to work and find it hard being a mum.”

Oti then opened up about her personal experience with being criticised for returning to work just eight weeks after giving birth to her daughter.

“I did Dancing on Ice and the amount of messages and trolling from women who were like, ‘Stay home with your baby,’ ‘Why are you out?’ and I was just like, it’s my choice,” she said sadly.

Speaking in the Bush Telegraph, Oti admitted: “I find it very difficult to not let those comments get to me, because I’m human.”

A sympathetic Coleen was quick to reassure her, responding: “On the outside world, you can’t win, everyone has got an opinion.

“I always say don’t take it to heart because every individual is different.”

The conversation resonated with fans who praised both women for tackling a topic that so many mothers face.

One person shared: “Love the discussion between Oti & Coleen about motherhood and deciding whether to be a working mother or a housewife raising the kids is refreshing to see.

“Everyone’s different & everyone’s circumstances are different, so let people be & just do you boo boo.”

Another gushed: “Coleen is such a treasure. What a lovely woman!”

A third proposed a future collaboration between the pair on a mummy podcast, adding: “I will be listening!”
