Carol Vorderman left ‘blushing’ as I’m A Celeb star reveals he’s obsessed with her

I'M A Celebrity star Melvin Odoom has opened up about his huge crush on Carol Vorderman - and left the presenter blushing in the process.

TV star Carol, 63, has responded after the jungle campmate revealed his obsession with her - and the extent he's gone to.

The radio DJ, 44, shocked fans after revealing that his luxury item featured pictures of his loved ones - and the former Countdown maths whizz.

I'm A Celeb's Melvin was seen hugging the pillow which featured Carol in a figure-hugging red leather dress.

He explained in the Bush Telegraph: “My dad, my mum and Carol Vorderman. My crush.

“I have been a fan of Carol Vorderman for a very long time, in fact I have a little rap."

He went on: "I know a woman so fine, she’s mature like a fine wine. The mandem can’t comprehend my 10 out of 10 Carol Vorderman, woo. I wanna work her out, check your DMs girl and I’ll be waiting.”

Former I'm A Celeb star Carol has responded to finding out she's the object of his affection.

During I'm a Celebrity… Unpacked, Carol recorded a voice note for the DJ and said: “Melvin, I’m blushing redder than that leather red dress I’m wearing on your pillowcase.

"But I’ll be rooting for you all the way through, and see you on the other side."

The former Strictly Come Dancing star has been hitting the gym and dieting to look good in the jungle shower.

The BBC Radio 1 presenter stripped sugar from his diet and has been intermittent fasting to prepare himself for living off scraps.

When he was officially announced to be appearing on I'm A Celeb, Melvin said he hopes to look as good as his JLS singer pal Marvin Humes, 39, - who had fans swooning during shower scenes on last year's show.

Melvin said: "I've got to work a lot harder to look as good as Marvin.

"But yeah, I've been trying to do a bit more gym training.

"Since I found out about this, I've cut out sugar, but generally I don't think I'm that unhealthy a person.

"I don't really drink, I don't drink coffee, I don't eat excessively.

"One of my mates said, 'Why don't you try intermittent fasting, just for the days that you might struggle with?'

"She was like, 'Look, Mel, you need to start training your body to deal with the fact that you're going to still be running around doing tasks, and you might have only had, like, rice and beans'.

The star was voted off Strictly Come Dancing in 2016 in week one.

Melvin said about lasting longer in the jungle: "If I make it past day one, that is a win. To me, that's like winning the World Cup."

Last night, Melvin joined co-star Oti Mabuse in her first challenge — in which she was sprinkled in hundreds and thousands.

The ex-Strictly dancer played for dingo dollars in the trial titled "Diner Down Under".

Kiosk Kev tasked the pair to assemble disgusting diner orders and memorise the six ingredients for each order.

Screaming, Oti and Melvin wound up covered in rotting jungle diner ingredients.

However, they won the Dingo Dollars and made their way to Kiosk Kev's shack.

After they answered correctly, Oti and Melvin brought back marshmallows for the group to share.
