Watch awkward moment Strictly pro Katya Jones is hit in the face during dance off with Wynne Evans

STRICTLY pro Katya Jones got quite the surprise tonight during her dance-off with Wynne Evans.

Right at the end of the routine, she was hit in the face by a flying rose that was thrown onto the dancefloor as part of the routine's finale.

While Katya made it through the nailbiting lifts and even swung around by Wynne, it was the closing sends of the dance that saw the blunder take place.

While she quickly recovered her composure and smiled, fans were quick to react to the unintentionally hilarious moment, taking to X to see who else had spotted it.

One wrote: "That rose hit Katya right in the face!!!!"

A second chimed in: "Katya getting whalloped right to the boatrace with a rose…"

"Cackling at someone chucking the rose directly at katya’s face," added a third.

The blunder occurred just before Wynne and Katya learned their fate and were voted off.

The pair faced Montell Douglas and Johannes Radebe in the dance off.

Craig, Motsi and Anton all chose to save Montell, with Head Judge Shirley in agreement.

Asked about his time on the show, Wynne said:

 “It's been wonderful, I’ve got to say. I feel like it's what Strictly is all about.

“If I can come and do Strictly and last until week nine, then anybody can get out there and dance and have a brilliant time.

“Strictly is such a brilliant family, such a precious family, that I want everybody here in this room and at home to look after it for the generations to come because it is a wonderful, wonderful thing.”

Katya said: “To be honest with you, the smile hasn't left my face since the first day of our training, since the day we got partnered up.  

“You [to Wynne] have made this experience so joyous and so full of laughter for me. I'm sure everybody was jealous because you're the kind of guy that everybody wants in their life.

“You bring light, you bring laughter, you bring charisma, you fill up every room you walk into with those qualities.”
