KATE Garraway can breathe a sigh of relief after securing a new two-year work deal amid struggles with her tax bill.

The Sun previously revealed her eye-watering debt, over a tax bill worth £700,000.

Kate, 57, was saddled with the huge bill after closing down her late husband Derek Draper's company.

The Good Morning Britain star sought the help of a firm to handle discussions over the bill with HMRC.

Amid the woes, the mum-of-two has now revealed she's signed new two-year deal with Smooth Radio.

The deal means the fan-favourite will continue to presenter her popular show in the 10am to 1pm slot.

In a video posted on Instagram, Kate could be seen in the studio as a member of the crew supposedly delivered her new contract for her to ink.

She could be heard curiously asking him: "How long for?"

For the next two years said the crew member as Kate's face beamed with excitement.

She then joked: "You fools, you fools!"

Kate added: "That's really, really good, where do I sign? Sign it quickly before they take it back.

"You're stuck with me now for another two years, thank you for listening."

Derek Draper died at the start of this year, aged 56, after battling with the long-term effects of Covid.
