KNOT ON

Married At First Sight UK hit with hundreds of furious Ofcom complaints as fans slam star for ‘bullying’

And the reunion episodes haven't even aired yet...

MAFS UK has been hit with more than 200 furious Ofcom complaints amid bullying claims after two brides brutally clashed earlier this month.

Married At First Sight UK 2024 is coming to an explosive end, with the remaining couples deciding whether or not they want to proceed with their vow renewals this week.

But last week marked the end of the festivities in a different way when the brides were reunited for a Girls' Night and the grooms reunited for a Boys' Night.

During these eventful evenings, several feuds were ignited when some of the co-stars clashed in a big way - and it was during this episode on November 7 that led to 237 Ofcom complaints.

Earlier in the series, Holly, who was married to Alex before they left the experiment, clashed with Hannah who was married to Stephen.

Holly and Hannah clashed when the couples went on a lavish retreat for a few days.

At the time, Hannah and her husband Stephen were at loggerheads after their honeymoon ended in disaster, with their marriage hanging by a thread.

While at the retreat, brides Holly and Polly both thought that Hannah was making inappropriate comments towards the other grooms.

WIFE SWAPPING ACCUSATIONS

And Holly was convinced that Hannah was trying to flirt with her husband Alex.

She explained how Hannah told Alex how he was her “favourite groom” and then during a game she said she's husband swap with Alex.

But weeks later at the Girls' Night, which aired last week, Holly and Hannah clashed again when Holly said, “Look what the cats dragged in” when Hannah arrived.

She then publicly accused Hannah of flirting with Sionainn Carmichael's husband Ryan Livesey.

"How many husbands have you run off with since leaving the experiment?" Holly fired at Hannah, referring to how she expressed an interest in Alex earlier on in the series, and had become friendly with another groom Orson.

Holly then kept hammering the question: "How many are you linked with?" A visibly distressed Hannah then said: "Honey I am not going to be spoken to like sh**."

She finally answered "none" before Sionainn accused her of lying, adding, "You've been meeting up with Ryan."

OFCOM 'BULLYING' COMPLAINTS

It was this explosive episode, which aired on November 7, that has received more than 200 Ofcom complaints.

Mafs couples that have stood the test of time

Loved-up Tayah Victoria and Adam Aveling of series six fame had the first Mafs baby.

The pair couldn't keep their hands off each other on the programme and quickly found their feet in the outside world, moving into Adam's Doncaster home.

Just 18 months after meeting, the couple welcomed their daughter Beau.

Season five couple Michelle Walder and Owen Jenkins also managed to make their marriage work away from the cameras and had their first child in December.

Teacher Michelle, 29, has no regrets about taking part in the experiment. She told us: “I just feel very lucky and thankful that it has worked out - and excited for everything to come.”

Michelle and Owen were both sick of dating apps when they applied in 2019.

Owen recalled: “I had been out for some drinks with a friend after work.

"While he was out for a cigarette I was scrolling on Instagram waiting for him to come back in.

“The MAFS advert was the last thing I saw, and I joked, ‘Wouldn’t it be funny if I signed up?’

“A few beers later when I was back at home I sent in the application, and the rest is history.”

Another couple to make Mafs UK history is Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson.

Despite a slight rocky start, where they clashed over Jenna's vegan lifestyle, the show's first same sex pairing are still going strong.

They even have a successful podcast together called Life With a Pod.

Jenna shed light on being involved in the show earlier this year when she told us: "We're not legally married, and I never felt like we were. I definitely feel the process makes you take the relationship a lot more seriously and having the help of the experts… if you can survive that process it sets a firm foundation for a long-lasting relationship."

The majority of complainants relate to alleged bullying behaviour by Holly towards Hannah.

And the total number of complaints made was an eye-watering 237.

At the time of the episode airing, fans were fuming on social media, with many taking to X, formerly Twitter, to share their thoughts.

"Holly….. wow. Disgusting vile behaviour. What girl code does she have then? Who does she actually think she is!? She’s an actual mother talking to another woman like that on TV.

"Hannah literally owes them nothing. My anger could NOT deal with this," penned one.

Another then added, "Why did no one from the crew step in and remove Holly from that situation?! The way she’s spoke to and treated Hannah is vile.."

HOLLY vs. HANNAH ROUND THREE?

But more Ofcom complaints could ensue when the duo reunite again at the MAFS UK reunion.

Later this week, a dinner party reunion will take place, before the couples all revisit the experts for the famous sofa chats with their husbands, wives, or exes.

This means Holly and Hannah could clash once more, with the trailer making this seem all the more likely.
