Only Fools And Horses star returns to Hollyoaks for first time in a YEAR amid fan fears she’d QUIT soap after 16 years

ONLY Fools And Horses star Diane Langton is making a sensational return to Hollyoaks after a year away from the soap.

The actress - who played Del Boy’s former girlfriend June Snell - will be back on screen at Christmas as part of a new storyline.

A source told The Sun: "Diane's character Nana McQueen is visiting from Alicante where the other McQueens live.

"She will be supporting Mercedes through Christmas as she continues her battle with bowel cancer."

Fans feared Diane had quit - or even been axed - the E4 soap as Marlena 'Nana' McQueen because she hasn't appeared onscreen since September 2023.

James Sutton - known as John Paul McQueen - revealed Nana McQueen is back on set with a sweet photo of the pair.

James said on Instagram: "BTS (behind the scenes) with the incredible Di Langton.

"Privileged to share a screen with this wonderful, warm, funny, generous, hilarious woman."

Diane appeared on Hollyoaks from 2007 to 2009 before a three-year- break.

She then returned from 2012 until last year, was last on Hollyoaks back in September 2023.

The Channel 4 soap is axing 20 beloved characters as it prepares for a one year time jump next month. 

There were concerns from worried fans that Diane had left in the time jump.

Her co-star Jorgie Porter hinted recently that some more McQueens are returning this Christmas.

Early on in her career, actress Diane starred in Only Fools and Horses, which aired from 1981 to 2003.

She played a romantic love interest of Derek 'Del Boy' Trotter (played by David Jason) during a 1985 episode, Happy Returns.
