A FORMER Strictly Come Dancing professional has chipped in on the ballroom 'fix' row after Shayne Ward was booted off.

The ex Strictly star has opened up about blind comedian Chris McCausland scoring high on the leaderboard - and opera singer Wynne Evans escaping eviction again.

Speaking about her thoughts on the judges' choice to save Wynne over Shayne in the dance-off, Ola Jordan told : “Oh, it's a bit of a tricky one.

"We’ve got to start with the fight that everyone's got their own opinion. My opinion is still valid, everyone's opinions are valid, so it depends who sits on that panel.

"I thought that Shayne was too low on the leaderboard, he was in the bottom two and the judges could say, well, people obviously didn't vote for him, which is correct, but he was still in the wrong place on the leaderboard to start with for me.

"When I look at the whole line-up, he had 30 points. I think he should have got more.

"I thought he should have had more than Chris. Chris got 33 points.”

Pro dancer Ola explained: “The leaderboard is combined with people's votes as well, so Shayne’s probably not getting that many votes, that’s why he was in the bottom two.

"But let's say Montell; she might be still getting the same votes as Shayne, but because she's higher on the leaderboard, she will not go down to the bottom two.

“Last week I said he's going to be in the bottom two because he's not getting many votes. He got Rumba, which is a tricky dance.

"You can't compare that to a Couple's Choice. With Chris and Dianne's, there was not much technique there.

"Rumba is a much more difficult dance than the Couple’s Choice.

"Pete [Wicks] and Jowita did an amazing Couple’s Choice, but he didn't have to have straight legs and hip action.

"I do think Shayne did a great job and I wasn't a fan of his dancing in previous weeks, I was always quite critical, but in this instance, I think he was too low on the leaderboard.

"So he had no chance to not be in a bottom two, because we all knew that he was in the bottom two already twice before, this was the third time.”

On whether she thought any contestants were unfairly marked by the judges, the mum-of-one revealed: “I think Shayne, probably out of everyone, because I feel that he did better than what the leaderboard was showing.

"He had a difficult dance and I think he did a really good job. Chris was above him, Sarah [Hadland] and Montell were above him. I think he did just as good a job as Montell did - and she got 36 points.”

For next week, she offered advice to Chris, who was tied in sixth place on the leaderboard: “He is limited. I could see he was going wrong in the Couple’s Choice; he was going wrong quite a few times.

"This is why I think he was too high on the leaderboard. Shayne didn't go wrong in his Rumba, whereas Chris was.

"Obviously it's hard for him because he can't just match what Dianne is doing; if they do side-by-side or similar steps, he can't just get back onto the right rhythm because he can't see.

"It is harder for him in that respect and I appreciate what he does, but at the end of the day, it’s about who is better and I don't agree with him having 33 points last week.

"I am a big fan of Chris. I want him to do well in a competition, but I don't want other people being penalised for their dances if they did a good job.”

The former X Factor star went up against GoCompare star Wynne Evans and Katya Jones during Sunday's results show.

Both couples performed their routines again, with Shayne and Nancy Xu dancing their rumba to Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper.

Wynne and Katya performed their American smooth to Grace Kelly by Mika.

Both Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse chose to save Shayne and Nancy, but Anton Du Beke opted for Wynne and Katya.

Head Judge Shirley had the deciding vote, which meant that Shayne and Nancy left the competition.

However, fans have pointed out there is a possible BBC conspiracy to keep Wynne on the show over Shayne.
