Footy hardman Vinnie Jones admits he’s ‘p****d off’ that Clarkson’s Farm has been a massive hit
ACTOR and former footie hard man Vinnie Jones is “p****d off” Jeremy Clarkson’s farming TV show has been a hit — saying he had the idea first.
He says he pitched it to networks in 2018 — but was told by executives they would rather see him “wrestling a bear”.
Clarkson’s Farm has gone down a storm with viewers since starting on Amazon Prime in 2021.
Vinnie, 59, says he likes the show but was “f*****g p****d off, because I’d already had the idea”.
He instead launched a countryside-themed YouTube channel and now has a Discovery+ show — Vinnie Jones in the Country — which returns for its second series this month.
But he told The Sunday Times magazine it still rankled when TV bosses got back in touch.

"I was before my time.”
He added: “They went ‘We want this! We want the farm!’
“B******s. Can you imagine?”
Vinnie said Clarkson was a ’novice’ farmer.
He said: “Another Clarkson? No, it ain’t.
“My show’s about the countryside, it’s not about some novice who’s bought a farm.”
“It’s very, very different from Clarkson’s Farm…we don’t grow anything.
"We don’t have any animals or anything like that.
“It’s all part-timers and misfits…We are definitely not Clarkson’s Farm!!!”
