EastEnders’ Lorraine Stanley looks slimmer than ever as she shows off very glam transformation a year after axe
HER character’s exit came as a shock to actress Lorraine Stanley who was axed from EastEnders last year.
But it seems that leaving the BBC soap has been good for the actress, who has subsequently lost five pounds and counting.
The 48-year-old year who played dowdy Albert Square matriarch Karen Taylor for 6 years, showed off her transformation on social media this week, sharing a photo of her wearing a black ballgown.
The ex EastEnders player dressed up to attend glitzy bash for a mental health charity, accompanied by her nephew.
A host of her followers rushed to comment on her slimline look.
One person said: “Look at you.”

Another commented: “Where did you steal that body from.”
Another fan added: “You look amazing Lorraine, how did you get so slim.”
Shortly after leaving the BBC soap, Lorraine revealed in March that she’d been on a journey towards to a healthier lifestyle.
Sharing before and after pictures, the actress opened up about making healthier choices, even employing a personal trainer to help her get in shape.
The mother of one, told her followers:
"Five stone down, feeling good, clean living, healthy choices, new me, healthy mummy."
Last year the actress was written out of the show as part of a shock cast shake up.
#She returned for a brief cameo earlier this year, but following her dismissal, Lorraine said she had no plans on her character recurring in the mould of Patsy Palmer and others.
In an interview with The Sun she said: "Once you’ve done a soap, you’ve done a soap."
Lorraine exclusively told The Sun: "At the moment I wouldn't go back, I'm happy doing what I'm doing.
"They've left the door open, so never say never."I made that special appearance and it was nice to see everyone and be apart of the family again."
Lorraine who had been part of the dramatic EastEnders Six storyline admitted that she;s found it tricky finding work since leaving the soap.
She said: I'm a busy mum at the moment. I don't plan on doing anymore soaps, once you've done a soap, you've done a soap.
"At the moment I'm auditioning, I'm just doing self-tapes, which is soul-destroying. It's horrible, I'm so bad at it."
But fortunately Lorraine, who has been with her fiancé Mark Perez for ten years, says that she will be performing in pantomime at Christmas.

She said: “I'm doing Panto in my hometown of Portsmouth, I'm playing Queen Rat, I've never done it before and I'm so excited. "It's the only thing my daughter can actually watch, most times I swear, but actually my daughter Nancy can go and watch it and hopefully be proud of mummy."
