The hit series - which began in 2009 - tackles consumers who have been ripped off.

It also alerts viewers to watch out for rip-offs that are currently on the market.

The show, which airs mid-mornings on BBC One, is also presented by Julia Somervile and Gloria Hunniford.

A total of 552 episodes of Rip Off Britain have been produced to date.

Beeb bosses have now put out a call for members of the public to get in touch for the 17th series.

They said: "If you've been struggling to get a complaint resolved and no one's giving you the answers you need, please let us know.

"And it could be your story that Angela Rippon, Gloria Hunniford and Julia Somerville investigate on the programme."

Meanwhile, Angela Rippon was recently celebrated by the BBC as she marked her 80th birthday.

The star, who stole the show on last year's Strictly, was honoured on BBC Four as they cleared their entire schedule for her.

A full night of television was dedicated to Angela, featuring shows she had starred in.
