‘You two never age’ say nostalgic CBBC fans as former kids’ TV presenters reunite and share snap nearly two decades on
NOSTALGIC CBBC fans rejoiced as two former kids’ TV presenters reunited.
Nearly two decades after they were last on-screen together, the two personalities staged an exciting comeback.
Kirsten O’Brien, 52, currently takes to the airwaves for the publicly funded corporation on BBC Radio Berkshire.
In 2019 she was given the position of co-host and newsreader for the breakfast show on the station.
Earlier this year, she took over as the host of the mid-morning show for the local BBC bureau.
But during half term, the broadcasting personality went to visit her former CBBC co-star Steve Backshall, 51.

She used to appear on the children's network from 1999 for a decade until 2009.
Her longtime mucker is currently on tour for his show, Ocean and the two reunited backstage.
She captioned the snap: "Went to see this legend @backshall.steve doing his show Ocean this half term, really entertaining, even the Dad jokes!"
Fans immediately flooded the comments section with gushing praise for the pair, particularly over their appearance.

A second stated: "Two TV legends, you both still look the same as you did back then."
As a third user added: "It’s like a CBBC Reunion."
This comes after previously had a major wardrobe malfunction before filming Celebrity Mastermind.
Instead of being sent a cohesive pair of footwear, Kirsten was sent two odd shoes for the programme.
She also previously appeared on other shows such as Celebrity Big Brother's Bit On The Side, Total Wipeout and Sport Relief.
Away from her broadcasting gigs, she also raised thousands of pounds for her hometown’s Teesside Hospice as part of the Great North Run.
