Freddie was rushed to hospital following the high-speed smash at the Top Gear test track at Dunsfold Aerodrome, Surrey.

The 46-year-old previously spoke out about the near-fatal crash, which resulted in him undergoing several operations on his face.

And now Freddie will speak in depth about the crash in a brand new documentary for streaming giant Disney+.

Production listings revealed the cricket ace's life now two years on would be documented.

When contacted by The Sun, Disney+ confirmed the feature-length programme, which is currently untitled.

The film will also more broadly look back at Flintoff's life and incredible cricket career as he returns to the sport.

Over the past year award-winning director John Dower has been given exclusive access to film Freddie during his recovery.

Disney+ has not yet revealed when the one-off special will land on the platform.

Beeb bosses axed Top Gear after more than four decades on television following the horror smash.

Dad-of-four Freddie spoke about the effects of his life-changing injuries when he returned to screens earlier this year with his Field Of Dreams On Tour series.

During the show, he said: “There’ll be times when I take myself off and you won’t see me for half an hour.

"I’ll go cry in my room and come back.”

He continued: “I genuinely should not be here after what happened.

"It’s going to be a long road back and I’ve only just started.

“I’ve got to look at the positives, I’ve got another chance, and I’m going to go at it.

"I’m seeing that as how it is - a second go.”

Filmed weeks after his surgeries, Freddie's many stitches were on show, including a large dressing on his cheek, with his voice distorted by his swollen lips and broken nose.

Freddie added: “I am what I am now. I’m different to what I was.

"It’s something I’ll have to deal with for the rest of my life. Better? No. Different.
