Coronation Street’s Sam Aston reveals stunning Dancing On Ice pro partner saying he’s ‘proper buzzing’

CORONATION Street star Sam Aston has been partnered with newbie Molly Lanaghan for the new series.

The actor, who has played Chesney Brown on the ITV soap since 2003, shared the exciting news with his fans today.

Sam took his new dancing partner to the cobbles for a special visit.

Molly was seen flashing a big smile as she posed alongside the soap star in front of the iconic Rovers Return pub.

The pair then beamed for selfie on the famous street.

Sam wrote alongside the photos: "The wait is over! We’re SO excited to be team Sam & Molly for Dancing On Ice 2025!!

"Proper buzzing to be partnered together and to represent the North!!

"Now let’s lace up and glide into this journey together!"

His fellow Corrie co-stars raced to share their support.

Colson Smith posted: "That’s the winning team right there."

Sam appeared on This Morning last month and revealed why he'd signed up, he told viewers: "It came about and it was one of them.

"I hadn't thought about it in the past, the (Coronation Street) press office mentioned it and I thought 'yeah'."

Sam said he auditioned to get a basic sence of what it would be like.

He said: "They basically stand you on the ice. But I got a real buzz experiencing it a little bit.

"My son is pretty excited about it, he's only young but when I told him he said, 'can I come, can I come?' He's only four!"

He added: "It's nice for the public to see me as me and not Chesney!"

Sam will be in good company with other soap stars including EastEnders Charlie Brooks and Hollyoaks' Chelsee Healey.

The Sun revealed it pairing as Vanessa Bauer and Love Island hunk Chris Taylor.

Chelsee will be dancing with Andy Buchanan and The Traitors star Mollie Pearce is teamed up with Colin Grafton.

Michaela Strachan is with pro dancer Mark Hanretty and Ferne McCann is with Brendyn Hatfield.
