Emmerdale airs shock return for killer character as the Dales residents are left spooked
EMMERDALE has aired a shock return for a killer character - just months after they were sent to prison.
Fans of the long-running ITV soap watched as Angelica King was imprisoned following Heath Hope's death.
The teenager, who is played by Rebecca Bakes, admitted she'd been driving Wendy Posner's stolen car when her, Cathy and Heath Hope had an accident.
She received an eight month sentence to a secure children's facility.
But in a shock to Emmerdale locals, the troubled teen returned to the village tonight.
She was welcomed back with open arms by her parents Jimmy and Nicola - but some weren't as keen to see her.

As Angelica stepped out of the car, she ran into Bob Hope, Heath's father who was left spooked.
He quickly dashed off after seeing Angelica wearing Heath's jumper, which he had gifted to her.
Later in the pub he was joined by Laurel Thomas, who was concerned for him as she admitted she too was irked to see Angelica back.
Bob told her: "Angelica is back in the village."

When she says he must have known she was coming out, he replied: "I did yeah, I suppose I just didn't want to think about it."
The blame was initially thrown on to Cathy for Heath's death until Angelica's crisis of conscience became too overwhelming for her to ignore.
Emmerdale continues on ITV1 and ITVX.
