ELLIS is an upcoming Channel 5 series which sees Sharon D Clarke's titular character solving sinister crimes in Northern England.
The new series is gearing up to land on Channel 5 at the end of October and fans are already excited to find out what the latest series has in store for them.
A star studded cast
Sharon D Clarke
Sharon stars as DCI Ellis, the show's titular character.
The 58-year-old actress made a name for herself on Holby City, where she played Lola Griffin from 2003 to 2019.
She has also appeared in Hollywood blockbusters, including the gay rom-com Red, White and Royal Blue where she played the UK prime minister.
Sharon has had a celebrated career on stage, alongside her work on screen, which has won her three Olivier awards.

Andrew Gower
Andrew plays DS Chet Harper, who is Ellis' right hand man.
The actor has appeared in Black Mirror and You, but most fans will recognise him from Outlander and Being Human.
The Liverpudlian actor is an award winner and has even taken home the Spotlight Prize for Best Actor.
Other cast members
The pair will be joined by Benidorm star Josh Bolt and Charlie Webb, known for playing Debbie Dingle on Emmerdale.

Allison Harding, who previously starred in The Bill and the second Mamma Mia film, will be playing Ellis' boss who is also named Alison (with one L).
Several stars will be making guest appearances, including Freya Hannan-Mills and Kaye Wragg.
Stunning locations
The hit series has been filmed in some beautiful settings, most of which are located in Belfast and The Peak District.
One of the locations was Shanes Castle Estate in Atrim which has over 1000 acres of woodland and a farm with dairy cows and sheep.
The ruins at the sight are believed to have replaced a 16th century stronghold named Edenduffcarick.
Another location used in the show was the stunning Clandeboye Estate in Bangor.
A Halloween debut
The new show will air on Channel 5 on October 31, 2024.
Fans of the show can catch it when it first airs at 8pm, but it will also be uploaded to the channel's streaming service My5.
The second episode will land on Channel 5 on November 7 and the final episode in the series will follow just a week later.
