The Big Fat Quiz is returning for its second episode, after the first shake up to the original format of The Big Fat Quiz of the Year was such a hit.

Jimmy launched the programme as an annual comedic review at all things news, current affairs, viral moments and celebrity gossip and aired each New Year as The Big Fat Quiz Of The Year.

The updated format has seen Jimmy joined by the panels of famous comedians, as well as being assisted by the adorable students of Mitchell Brook Primary.

The new show will also feature a whole host of brand new special rounds & VTs and will delve into 100 years worth of archive material.

More on Channel 4

Jimmy will also return with The Big Fat Quiz of Everything in 2025 and bring back the hilarity and quizzing on everything from Art, Literature, Television, Music, Geography, Politics, Science and Celebrity.

In the Big Fat Quiz Of Everything, Jimmy Carr will be asking questions covering the last 100,000 years of human history.

The winner at the end will be crowned as the Supreme Big Fat Quiz champion.

The Big Fat Quiz returns just weeks after Jimmy's popular show  I Literally Just Told You also returned to screens.

In the show, Jimmy was quick to boot one star off the set after he deemed him not "famous enough".

Jimmy was joined by Jonathan Ross, Josie Gibson, Oti Mabuse, Rylan Clark and Chico Slimani.

Jimmy Carr’s smash-hit show returns to Channel 4 - but with a major format shakeup

Chico reached the quarter-finals of X Factor nearly 20 years ago.

Jimmy said: "Great to have you all here. Errm, Chico Time was 2005, I'm not sure you're famous enough to be on a celebrity special.

"What do you mean?" Chico asked, looking surprised.

"We can do it with four contestants, we'll do it with four. Chico, if you could go," Jimmy replied.

Unable to work out if it was a joke or not, the room went deadly silent and the other stars were left with their mouths open in shock.

As stage managers started to approach, Chico stood up and said: "No, listen, listen, I'm happy to go."
