Amy Dowden MISSES Strictly Come Dancing results show after being rushed to hospital over backstage collapse

AMY Dowden had to miss tonight's Strictly Come Dancing results show after falling ill and being rushed to hospital.

Amy collapsed in between filming the live show and the results show, which pre-records later on a Saturday night but does not broadcast until Sunday.

Now the BBC have confirmed to The Sun that she was unable to appear for the Halloween week results.

A rep said: “Due to unforeseen circumstances, Amy Dowden MBE was unable to be in tonight’s results show”.

Host Tess Daly told viewers just before the results were read out: "Amy is unable to be with us on tonight's show".

She did not elaborate on the reasons why.

It came momemt before JB Gill was seen standing alone as he learnt he and Amy have made it through to next week.

"I am beside myself and Amy, of course, is going be so happy," JB said in the Clauditorium as he spoke for the first time since Amy fell unwell.

He revealed he would be performing as Bruno Mars in Icons week next week.

The Sun exclusively revealed earlier today that Amy was seen by paramedics at Elstree studios last night, where Strictly is filmed.

She was then taken to hospital in an ambulance.

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We were called just after 9pm on Saturday to attend a medical emergency at Elstree Studios in Borehamwood.

"An ambulance was sent to the scene. One patient, an adult female, was transported to Barnet Hospital for further care."

An audience source also revealed to The Sun this afternoon that her celeb partner JB Gill appeared without her during the results show.

A spokesperson for Amy said: "Amy was feeling unwell and so an ambulance was called as a precaution.

"She is feeling much better and would like to thank the Strictly family for their love and concern.

"We request Amy's privacy in matters of health is kindly respected."
