Netflix drops ‘greatest of our generation’ action thriller on to streaming platform and viewers are delighted
NETFLIX viewers have been left delighted after bosses dropped the 'greatest action thriller' of their generation.
The streaming giant has officially acquired the rights to the Hollywood blockbuster starring Keanu Reeves.
John Wick: Chapter 4 arrived on the platform in recent days - over a year on from its cinema release.
The film was a mega success at the box office, grossing an incredible $440million when it theatres in March 2023.
John Wick's first movie was based Reeves' character, a retired assassin, tracking down the gang that killed his dog and stole his car following his wife's death.
It was released in 2014, making $88.8million worldwide, paving the way for its sequel in 2017.

The third movie in the franchise was released in 2019.
A synopsis for the fourth instalment reads: "John Wick uncovers a path to defeating The High Table.
"But before he can earn his freedom, Wick must face off against a new enemy with powerful alliances across the globe and forces that turn old friends into foes."
Netflix fans are already tucking into the hit, with one branding it the "one of the greatest action films of our generation" on social media.
