Instead, the ITV1 schedule is set to be dominated by sports programming.

The commercial network will air coverage of racing from 1:30pm going all the way until Ben Shephard's Tipping Point at 4pm.

ITV Racing will show coverage of the huge events at Cheltenham and Doncaster.

After The Chase comes off the airwaves at 6pm, ITV will air its slate of news programming as usual.

The Evening News bulletin will finish just before 7pm, then the channel will air more sport.

Coverage of the Women's International Football will be on screen between 7pm and 10pm.

So viewers are set to miss out on a new episode of both Coronation Street and Emmerdale.

Instead, tonight's Coronation Street will air on Sunday, October 27 at 8pm.

Former TalkSport presenter Laura Woods will front tonight's sports coverage for the friendly game at Wembley Stadium.

Sarina Wiegman's England squad are set to come face to face with Germany.

Cain Dingle makes devastating discovery about wife Moira in Emmerdale

The teams will both return to the same venue as their final match of the 2022 Euros, which saw England storm to a 2-1 extra time victory.

This is as the team starts preparations to defend the title at the 2025 Euro tournament in Switzerland.

Laura, 37, will be joined by Ian Wright and Karen Carney who will deliver sharp analysis of the game.

This is while Seb Hutchinson and Lucy Ward are set to take on commentary duty, with extra reports on the ground from Katie Shanahan.

Moira Barton's biggest Emmerdale storylines

Played by Natalie J. Robb, Moira has become one of Emmerdale's most prominent characters since her debut in 2009.

AFFAIR WITH CAIN DINGLE

In October 2011, Moira began an affair with Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley), whom she had previously loathed.

At the time, she was married to first husband and childhood sweetheart John (James Thornton).

JOHN'S DEATH

In the characters' backstory, John and Moira had been married since 1990. They shared three children: Adam, Hannah (now Matty) and Holly.

While John struggled to forgive Moira's infidelity, he also realised he couldn't live without her.

Ultimately, the character of John was written out by having a car accident and fatal cardiac arrest.

Afterwards, Moira and Cain began a relationship and later married.

ADAM'S PATERNITY

It transpired that Cain was not the first man that Moira had an affair with.

She previously slept with John's brother James (Bill Ward) - with the revelation that he is her son Adam's biological father.

MURDER OF EMMA BARTON

James' estranged wife Emma (Gillian Kearney) was introduced as a soap villain, reuniting with her clan after two decades.

In October 2017, Emma was killed off in a who-dunnit storyline after being pushed off a viaduct.

She reappeared one last time in December 2017 for a flashback, where her killer was revealed to be archenemy Moira.
