CORONATION Street star Kevin Kennedy looked unrecognisable as he was interviewed on This Morning today.
Kevin, 63, who played binman Norman ‘Curly’ Watts on the soap between 1983 and 2003, stunned ITV viewers when he appeared on their screens earlier.
Having quit the iconic role 21 years ago, the actor shared details of his new venture in the studio with Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley.
He’s set to narrate Pretty Vacant, a punk rock musical that will begin touring in early 2025
Teasing this exciting project, he explained how it stands in stark contrast to his former role as Curly.
Kevin fondly reminisced about his time in Weatherfield, describing it as an unforgettable chapter of his life.

He said: “I was so fortunate to get that role,” highlighting some of his most iconic storylines, including Curly's marriage to Raquel Wolstenhulme, played by Sarah Lancashire.
One memorable episode, airing on New Year’s Eve 1999, saw Raquel asking Curly for a divorce and revealing they had a daughter together.
Looking back on his exit from the show, he said, “I had been wanting to explore new opportunities, and leaving Coronation Street gave me the chance to pursue them."
Kevin's appearance on This Morning prompted many fans to call for his return to the cobbles.

One tweeted: "Would love for Curly to return to Corrie. What the soap desperately needs is to bring back some of its most iconic characters where possible and Curly was absolutely one of those."

Kevin's character was known for his unlucky-in-love persona and was highly recognisable bleach-blonde hair, oval-shaped glasses and cheeky grin.
Curly eventually found real love in the arms of his second wife Emma Watts, played by Angela Lonsdale.
After the soap, Kevin went on to appear in other programmes such as Holby City (when he took on the role of David Bowie tribute act Graham Ollerinshaw in 2017) and joined the West End London production of Queen & Ben Elton's We Will Rock You.
Off screen Kevin has been outspoken about his journey to sobriety and serves as director of Kennedy Street services, a social enterprise he holds with his wife Clare which offers free telephone advice signposting to local recovery services, home-based detox, various recovery focused programmes and a professional advice and coaching service.
The star has previously made it clear he would love for his on-screen alter ego to make a comeback.
Speaking to , Kevin said: "I'd love to come back to Coronation Street; I still have a great relationship with ITV and I think Curly would have some stories to tell.

"It’s a different soap from when I was in it, but when I joined it was a different show from 10 years before that.
"It changes for the better I think and deals with brilliant ideas and stories."
