Youth worker Marcello caused recent outrage with his comment about showers, when some of the girls said they planned to wash with wet wipes instead.

He bluntly refused to clean and said: "Men are supposed to be stinking" in a remark which understandably caused a stir online.

Big Brother viewers were also irked when the east London lad falsely claimed he had shared a "kiss" with Ali.

Now Ofcom has confirmed 72 complaints were made about the October 11 episode in particular.

They stated comments "related to Marcello’s behaviour and his alleged misogynistic comments."

Last week, Big Brother broke its own show rule and aired some secret footage.

Normally, bosses do not broadcast any scenes of the housemates in the smoking area, but they broke that rule to show the context of a bizarre comment he made.

In the clip, Marcello was seen offering Ali his vape, suggesting she try the grape flavour.

After taking a smoke, she handed it back to him, and he told her: "We just vape kissed."

"Marcello!" a shock Ali scolded.

"It's a thing!" he responded, flirtily.

"It's not a thing," she shot back, laughing awkwardly. "It's definitely not a thing."

While Marcello then reassured her he was joking, when they went back to join the group, he let the joke continue.
