GEORDIE Shore star Marnie Simpson has opened up about the real reason she quit Celebrity SAS — and how she wishes she had listened to the professionals.
Reality TV star Marnie opened up to Bobby Norris and guest co-host Emily Vierke on FUBAR Radio's Access All Areas and revealed why she had to pull the plug on her time as an SAS recruit after just 32 minutes.
The mother-of-two who is married to singer Casey Johnson, 29, explained: “I was on my period, and I needed to change my tampon, and I couldn't. So, I was just like, I'm done. There was no toilet about.
"We were in the middle of nowhere. and there was nothing around. The girls were just changing them wherever they could.”
The 32-year-old continued: "It's my own fault, because they told us to take this pill to delay our periods. But again, me being delusional, I thought, "Oh, they're being dramatic". I wish I had taken it, because it definitely made it harder.
"I was just so worried about it coming through on the uniform, and then having to wear it for the rest of the course. I just could not stop thinking about the hotel room and just getting in a nice, hot bath."

As well as being on her period, Marnie revealed she had been under the knife shortly before filming. She admitted: “I had breast surgery six weeks before, and the flight was 36 hours long.
"I didn't even know this, but you're not supposed to put silicone [plasters] on fresh scars. I'd put it on and realised maybe I shouldn't have done that.
"When I got there, one of the wounds just wasn't looking right, but it was from that silicone [plaster], and then obviously going in and out of the water, it just wasn't good. I wasn't physically ready. ”
Speaking about who she thinks will win, Marnie predicted: "Ovie [Soko] definitely, because he's just athletic, he's strong. I thought Chris [Robshaw] as well.

"I thought he would do really well, because he does rugby and Ellie [Downey] as well, because she was a gymnast. I just think she did so well at first and I thought she would go so far."
Filming took place less than a year after Marnie gave birth to her second child.
The star was branded a 'brat' by viewers as she threw a tantrum and ditched her partner during a testing challenge.
Marnie was paired with Anthony Agogo and they were asked to pull 130 pounds of kit in a race across three kilometres of icy terrain.
But it wasn't long until the reality star decided it wasn't for her as she struggled to put on her snow boots and stormed off.
Speaking to the camera before the task she insisted: "I don't think I'm a diva. I can only do what's physically possible. So if I'm doing something that I don't believe is physically possible, I can't do it.
"I just feel like a lot of people are just each man for themselves, kind of world. I mean, I'm not like that.
"I wouldn't leave a man behind. But ultimately, not many people are like that."
A frustrated Marnie moaned: "I just wanna go. I just wanna go home. I've accepted it. I'm just not cut out for it. It is what it is."
The TV mum was joined by Anthony Ogogo, Bianca Gascoigne, Bobby Norris, Cherry Healey, Chris Robshaw, Ellie Downie, Georgia Harrison, John Barrowman, Lani Daniels, Ovie Soko, Pete Wicks, Rachel Johnson, Shazia Mirza and Tez Ilyas.
SAS hardman Mark ‘Billy’ Billingham feared he’d killed recruit Pete Wicks during filming when the Strictly star collapsed on a New Zealand mountain.
The former special forces hardman had to call in medics when the Towie star suddenly struggled to breath and fell to the floor during a gruelling challenge.
