ONE of the biggest reasons fans tune into Big Brother is the drama - and this lot provided it in spades.

From the original, ‘Nasty’ Nick Bateman to Roxanne Pallett - and her cock-and-bull story of Ryan Thomas punching her - the villains are sometimes the people who make the show.

And we’re waiting for the next one to emerge from the latest series of Big Brother.

With the show in full swing, we look at what some of the biggest ever baddies we loved to hate are doing now…

Nick Bateman

A city broker when he entered the Big Brother house in its first series, Nick soon became the most hated man in Britain for breaking the show’s rules.

The housemates confronted him – and show bosses dramatically threw him out for trying to influence nominations.

After the show, he said: “I don’t regret what I did because I was playing the game. It was a game show, after all.”

Nick, 56, went on to have a TV career after Big Brother and wrote the book Nasty Bateman: How To Be A Right B*****d.

He also did a stint in Ultimate Big Brother in 2010, coming fifth, as well as some panto appearances.

In 2013, Nick moved to Sydney with his partner Carol.

Last year, he told The Sun: “I love Australia — the sun shines and the beer is cold.

“I don’t really miss the UK, though I sometimes get nostalgic when I go back. I work in sales and marketing. I am a freelance consultant.”

Charley Uchea was known for her fiery temper when she entered the Big Brother house in 2007.

She consistently clashed with other housemates, especially Chanelle Hayes, whose biggest row was over pop star Rihanna’s age, of all things.

It escalated so much that they had to be separated by Ziggy Lichman and Brian Belo.

Charley was eventually evicted, coming in 14th place.

After the show, Charley was a regular on TV panel shows.

She was linked to Lauren Goodger's ex Joey Morrisson following his release from prison in 2018.

She now shows off her glam life on Instagram, regularly holidaying in Dubai, and is almost unrecognisable from the way she looked 17 years ago.

In 2022, Charley was forced to hit back at claims she had been bleaching her skin.

Shutting down her haters, the Instagram influencer wrote: “Apparently some silly mug is posting me on Twitter and it’s going viral about me bleaching my skin.

"Omg I was on holiday before BB so obviously I’ll be darker."

Emily Parr

Emily was a drama student from Bristol when she took part in the 2007 series.

But on day nine she was ejected from the house after using a racial slur against her housemate Charley Uchea.

She was removed from the house at 3:30am after a discussion in the garden.

Emily took full responsibility and quickly apologised, saying publicly: "There's no amount of words that can cover how sorry and how stupid I've been.

“But we've all got to move on now and all I ask from anyone reading this is that they understand what really happened and accept my apology."

She told OK she felt "deep shame" over the row but had moved on by "educating" herself.

Emily, who changed her surname to Valentine, is now an influencer with 50K followers sharing content on make-up, fashion and lifestyle.

Her bio states: "30-something ADHD girlie. Bride to be 2024."

Jason Burrill went into the Big Brother house in series 17 and played a very strategic game.

He infamously backstabbed his housemate, Lateysha Grace, by evicting her in a shock twist after pretending to support her.

His betrayal angered both viewers and housemates, but he still managed to win his series.

Jason cleverly invested his £100,000 winnings and, in 2018, revealed he was on track to have £20 million by 2028.

In 2014, Bolton-based escort girl Helen Wood trotted away with £100,000 and was the first woman to win the show after it set up its new home on Channel 5

Although she won, Ofcom received over 1,500 complaints for her and her housemate Pauline Bennett “bullying” Jale Karaturp and she was known for her "aggressive behaviour".

The former salon manager is reported to have slept with four millionaire footballers, three actors and a judge.

The mum-of-one went on to write a book in 2019 called A Man’s World.

But she has turned her back on sex work and has spent time caring for her dementia-suffering mum away from the spotlight and social media.

In 2019, she deleted her Instagram account, claiming the app was “full of t**sers”.

Grace Adams-Short earned her villain status for being a part of a clique in the house that often ganged up on others, including fan favourite Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace

But her most memorable moment was throwing a glass of water over Susie Verrico as she was evicted from the house.

Despite this, Grace managed to find love in the house and got married to her housemate Mikey Dalton in 2009, proving any doubters wrong.

The pair are still together and now have three children - Georgiana, Spencer and Allegra.

Not only did they find true love, but the show enabled the pair to buy multiple properties and enjoy travelling the world.

While Mikey heads up his own advertising company, Grace set up Studio 76 Performing Arts College in Liverpool and sold the company for millions.

Appearing on This Morning last year, Mikey said: "The nice thing for us is as our children get older, our oldest is 11 right now, they've got questions and they can actually see how their mummy and daddy met, so it's a nice feeling for us."

Conor McIntyre

In the 2012 series of Big Brother, Conor McIntyre’s actions shocked many, especially when his aggressive side came out.

He delivered a vile, misogynistic rant about fellow housemate Deana Uppal, which caused massive backlash outside the house.

Conor also famously stole £50,000 from the £150,000 prize fund and left the show early when he was offered “money or the prize” in a twist, ignoring housemates’ pleas to share the dough and head straight to the final.

After his reality stint, Conor was taken to court by fellow housemate Deana for libel for allegedly “threatening remarks”.

She claimed he said he would “punch her in the face, just knock her out” and do something indecent with a hairbrush.

Deana lost the case and had to pay £80,000 in legal fees.

Conor is now a DJ and personal trainer.

Stockbroker Sezer Yurtseven entered the Big Brother house in 2006 and his arrogance and sexism made him a villain almost instantly.

Along with Grace, he was in the “bitching clique,” and often made degrading remarks about women in the house.

Viewers swiftly evicted him after 16 days in a landslide vote.

Not long after, Sezer was arrested for rape.

He denied the allegation and a police spokesman said his bail had been cancelled and that no further action would be taken.

He now works as a homeless campaigner.

Victor, nicknamed “The Slick,” was central to one of the most notorious moments in Big Brother history - Fight Night.

In the 2004 series, after tensions boiled over between him and Emma Greenwood, an explosive argument broke out.

It led to a physical altercation that required security to intervene - and the live footage to be cut.

Victor now has a podcast called The Rival Show and works as an operations officer for a cannabis lifestyle brand Arcfarms CaliPo Cartel.

Alexandra De-Gale

Alexandra De-Gale was a housemate in the ninth series of Big Brother.

She was removed from the house on Day 14 for threatening housemates after being nominated, having already received multiple warnings from Big Brother.

In 2009, she was in court, accused of brandishing a 6-inch kitchen knife at three women after they joked about her “not being a celebrity anymore”.

She was found not guilty and has kept a low profile ever since.

Roxanne Pallett

When Roxanne Pallett went into the Celebrity Big Brother house in 2018, she was most well known for playing Jo Stiles in Emmerdale.

But her acting career came crashing down when she falsely accused fellow housemate Ryan Thomas of punching her - seemingly forgetting the house was rigged with cameras.

Roxanne even went as far as refusing to sleep in the same room as the Coronation Street star, telling their fellow housemates she was scared he might hurt her.

Unaware that viewers saw there was no assault, Ryan was seen sobbing in the Diary Room.

Roxanne's actions led to over 25,000 Ofcom complaints - and Ryan won the show.

After being evicted, she apologised for making a “terrible mistake” in a very tense chat with presenter Emma Willis.

One year later, she confessed to the Jeremy Vine Show that she thought about killing herself - having been blacklisted from every acting job.

Instead, Roxanne moved to New York and met firefighter Jason Carrion, who was also on Married at First Sight

They had a whirlwind romance and got married in January 2020, welcoming a son together the following year.

It seems like Roxanne has now stepped out of the spotlight.

She told Closer magazine: "I think taking a step away from showbiz has been the biggest saving grace for me as it's brought better people into my life and given me a healthier perspective on what's important."

Heidi and Spencer Pratt

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt AKA Speidi were best known from MTV reality show The Hills when they went into the Celebrity Big Brother house in 2013.

The couple were given a secret task towards the beginning of the series, watching their other housemates from a basement, and began plotting their downfalls.

After re-entering the house on Day 9, they never hid their disdain from anyone, constantly calling their housemates names, especially Rylan Clark.

Neil ‘Razor’ Ruddock even called Spencer out as a “bully” in one heated row.

Despite this, Rylan ended up winning and Speidi came runner-up.

Three years later, Spencer and Heidi - who once raked in more than $2 million a year - confessed they’d managed to splurge their fortunes, through spending $1 million on Heidi’s luxury designer wardrobe, $15,000-a-night bodyguards and Spencer’s $1 million crystal collection.

“I was kind of playing house,” Heidi told People. “I felt like I was someone I wasn’t. We had business managers who told us to stop spending but we acted like we knew what we were doing.”

The pair moved into Spencer’s parents' Santa Barbara holiday home, where they live rent-free.

Speidi, who have been married since 2009, now have two children Gunner Stone, seven, and Ryker, who turns two next month.

Last year, they brought out a podcast called Speidi’s 16th Minute, but they’re not giving up on television

“We’re out here pitching a reality show every day trying to get on TV,” Spencer told Page Six last year.
