Who is Martha?

Martha lives in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, although she originally comes from Margate in Kent.

Big Brother's new star currently works as an NHS administrator.

The 26-year-old anticipates that her loud and energetic nature may lead to nominations for being "the most annoying" housemate.

She admitted: "I’ve always been a little in your face and a bit dramatic.

"I don’t take things too seriously. Life is serious enough.

"I think it’s important to enjoy the good moments and funny moments in life and take it all with a pinch of salt.";

Fascinated with BB since childhood

Martha's journey to the Big Brother house began with her childhood fascination with the programme, which she frequently watched with her mum.

She said this early exposure gave her the inspiration to apply for the show.

Martha said: “I remember watching it with my mum one year when I was about eight years old.

“I was fascinated by the idea. We used to watch it all the time and I remember thinking ‘I could do that’.

In her personal life, Martha lives with her girlfriend of three and a half years, and says her partner would most probably describe her as a “nightmare”.

Bucket list

Asked about what she was looking forward to most, Martha said: "Definitely sitting on the Diary Room chair. That is a bucket list ticked off.

"Also just experiencing that isolation. I’m going to really enjoy not having my phone. I just love not having that responsibility.

"I think feeling the benefits of life without a screen is just unheard of.

"It can be so beneficial to your mental health.

"And hopefully meeting different people — people I wouldn’t normally come across.

"The beauty of life is that you come across so many different people."

'I love Google'

Speaking of her interests, Martha revealed her fascination with a particular search engine.

She said: "I love Google. I've recently Googled 'When did Stonehenge get there?', 'How many ants are there in the world?'

"Ooh, I did actually Google yesterday 'Can you drive to Australia?'

"You can. It takes 25 days."

Since entering the iconic compound, Martha has already admitted that she misses Google, adding that she uses it for everything.

Annoying and loud

In relation to what might get her nominated for eviction, Martha said: "Probably being the most annoying, or most loud.

"It also turns out that sometimes I snore — which I wasn’t aware of.

"That might be the straw that breaks the camel’s back."

How to watch Martha on Big Brother

Until she either gets evicted or wins, Martha can be seen surviving without Google in the Big Brother house every night of the week at 9pm on ITV2.
