Are political divisions forming?
A discussion in the kitchen broke out last night with Daze saying: “I think that the UK was the first place to be colonised and it was colonised by itself and it’s like colonisation is the act of this kind of like split and exploitation of each other and nature.”
Lily added: “I don’t get any of the words. What’s colonisation?”
Daze responded: “It’s the behaviour and culture of exploitation. That is what capitalism is, what colonialism is…”
Nathan jumped in to say: “Capitalism? So what would you prefer?”
Segun then interjected: “So where I am, I’m like perfectly neutral. I think if you lean too far to one or the other you’re gonna get a world that’s very self-destructive.”
Nathan hesitantly added: “Yeah, which is in the moment currently where we are at.”
Daze replied: “Exactly! The world where we’re too far on the other side already.”
Segun said: “I think we are more capitalist than we are communist.”
Lily then asked: “What do you mean by we’re more capalitalist… capalatist… capitalist!”
Nathan replied: “I would describe, I think we’ve probably got very different descriptions. I would describe it as capitalism encourages people to work hard and you get what you deserve if you work hard for it.”
Daze quipped back: “But that’s not true though!”
Eviction is on the mind
Dean has got Friday on his mind after he discovered he is facing the public vote.
