EVERY year on Married At First Sight there is always one groom who really ruffles feathers.

Enter Ryan from Manchester, who's introduction video has already caused a stir on social media.

Every year Married At First Sight welcomes new intruder couples around halfway through the series, to amp up the drama.

Along with prison worker Luke, Ryan Livesey is one of the two new grooms joining season nine.

“Ryan and Luke are new additions to Married At First Sight UK and they commit to their brides this week,” a source told .

They added: “It's great to have new joiners enter the experiment and given their different stories and backgrounds, Ryan and Luke definitely make their mark on the series.

“They're both looking for their soul mate and to settle down with 'The One' so have put their faith in the relationship experts to hopefully find long-lasting happiness.”

Get to know Ryan

Ryan, 28, is a semi-professional footballer-turned binman.

The Manchester native revealed how he lives life to the full after being diagnosed with bladder cancer in 2017.

The handsome groom raises awareness of the disease through campaign work and he describes himself as “caring, polite and respectful.”

Ideal woman

Ryan revealed his former girlfriends have accused him of being “stubborn,” and his "ick" is when someone believes they are better than others.

When he described his perfect woman, he said that he hoped his new bride would be "fun, down-to-earth and grounded".

Ryan also revealed his celebrity crush is former Love Islander Cally Jane Beech.

The new reality star has a six-year-old son named Leo, and wants to find someone who can be a "role model" to him.

Causing drama already

Ryan has already caused a storm with fans after his introduction video was unleashed on MAFS UK's Instagram.

It came following comments that his new bride will have to put up with him playing video games, that he couldn't cook, and that he has played pranks on past girlfriends.

One fan said: "Not being able to cook or in any way domesticated is nothing to be proud of in this day and age!"

While another joked: "Oh god, I feel for whoever the 'experts' have paired with this one! (followed by a laughing emoji)."

But after he posted that he was going on MAFS on his own Instagram handle, Ryan's followers were full of encouragement.

One wrote: "Go smash it Ryan!"

While another said: "Well done bro!"

Ryan's bride-to-be

Along with the the new grooms, the new brides have also been revealed.

Ryan is set to marry Glasgow make-up artist Sionainn.

Speaking to Channel 4 before walking down the aisle, his bride-to-be said: "I would make the perfect wife because I'm funny, I can make a joke about anything.

"If you're sad I'm going to make you laugh and that's all you need."
