A SPRINGWATCH presenter has been revealed as the latest celebrity taking part in the new series of Dancing On Ice.
Lorraine Kelly broke the news live on ITV's Lorraine this morning - confirming the 58-year-old will be putting her skates on, after it was confirmed stars from Towie and Love Island have also joined the line-up.
Michaela Strachan joins the likes of Hollyoaks star Chelsee Healey, EastEnders legend Charlie Brooks and football pundit Anton Ferdinand.
During her chat with Lorraine, Michaela confessed she almost did the show 14 years ago.
She said: “I was considered for the show 14 years ago - I’ve been considered for it twice - but this year they’ve asked me to do it.”
When asked by Lorraine if she can skate, Michaela replied: “I think probably just as well as you can.
More on Michaela Strachan
“I’ve got a bit of balance, I guess. But it's going to be a big challenge. I have no idea whether I'm going to be good, average or totally rubbish!"
Although she now lives in Cape Town with her partner Nick Chevallier, Michaela admitted she was looking forward to relocating to the UK as it means she'll be close to her son Ollie who is studying at Loughborough University.
Michaela presented kids' wildlife programme The Really Wild Show from 1993 to 2006.
Today it was also revealed that Love Island's Chris Taylor and Towie star Dan Edgar will also take part in the upcoming series.
