Things come to ahead in tonight's episode when the Married At First Sight Honesty Box is brought out.

This is where the couple's have to pick a question, and truthfully answer how they feel.

It was Polly's turn to read her question to Adam.

She asked him: "Adam, what do you think you should do to prevent us from being stuck in the friendzone?"

However, he doesn't take well to being asked this question and starts to get annoyed.

Adam replied: "If we're stuck in the friendzone, that's because I'm not ready to take it to the next step.

"And if I take it to that next step and then in a couple of weeks' time say I'm not feeling it still, that would upset you and hurt you."

Polly responded: "But I feel like you've dodged that question because that's what you say to that every time you're asked it."

Adam said: "But that is the truth. That's not really dodging the question."

She then repeated the question, so that he can understand what she was saying better, but this angers him further.

Her fellow co-stars try to clarify the question but Polly tells them to "shush", leaving them shocked.

Adam said: "I feel like you're speaking to me in a tone I've not heard before," with Kieran piping up and saying: "You're overthinking that in your head."

Others also tried to jump in, but Polly wasn't having any of it and said: "Everyone just shut up for a minute," leaving the cast stunned.

Lashing out at his bride, Adam says: "You’re speaking to me like s**t!"

He then concluded by saying: "I knew they were going to be s**t questions anyway."

She was left in floods of tears and fumed: "You've made me look like a d***head in front of everyone."

She then yelled at the group to be quiet again, before storming off and walking out on the dinner party.

Meanwhile, last night MAFS fans were left squirming during an ‘awkward’ massage between Polly and Adam.

It came after the pair enlisted the help of expert Charlene Douglas, who joined the couple in the flat to try and ignite the fire.

She set them various tasks such as hugging each other for a prolonged period of time and then eventually a hand massage.

Adam was instructed to massage Polly’s hand and Charlene watched on.

But while Polly seemed to be enjoying it, Adam said it was “a little bit weird,” as he added: “I felt a lot of pressure.”

And viewers seemed to be in agreement, as they coined the moment “awkward.”

One person penned: “The zoom in on his fingers penetrating her finger groins, deffo made me heave.”

A second said: “Polly needs to stop looking so desperate. He can’t even hug or massage her without it being weird. He will never be into her. It’s not moving forward, it’s moving backwards.”

A third wrote: “Adam giving Polly a hand massage reminded me of when my Nan use to play round’a’round the garden when I was 6. He’s about as sexually attracted to her as I am a minced pie.”

A fourth person shared: “I never knew hand massages were a thing. Now I’ve seen Adam do one, I don’t want one.”

Meanwhile, Adam and Polly’s honeymoon sex was exposed to the group.

The first commitment ceremony sees all of the brides and grooms learn that the married couple were intimate after their nuptials.

Quizzed about why he had been cold with her, Adam said he didn’t want to give her the wrong impression.

"If I'm affectionate with her and cuddling kissy with her, I don't want to give her the wrong idea because I don't want to hurt her," Adam explained.

But Paul was having none of it, firing back: "But you are married and you have already had sex."

This prompted gasps from the group watching on.

"I didn't know that," Nathan says to Lacey, while Keiran covered his mouth and Eve had her head in her hands.

Trying to explain his reasons for having sex with Polly, Adam counters: "That felt natural at the time, you know what I mean?"

Mafs couples that have stood the test of time

Loved-up Tayah Victoria and Adam Aveling of series six fame had the first Mafs baby.

The pair couldn't keep their hands off each other on the programme and quickly found their feet in the outside world, moving into Adam's Doncaster home.

Just 18 months after meeting, the couple welcomed their daughter Beau.

Season five couple Michelle Walder and Owen Jenkins also managed to make their marriage work away from the cameras and had their first child in December.

Teacher Michelle, 29, has no regrets about taking part in the experiment. She told us: “I just feel very lucky and thankful that it has worked out - and excited for everything to come.”

Michelle and Owen were both sick of dating apps when they applied in 2019.

Owen recalled: “I had been out for some drinks with a friend after work.

"While he was out for a cigarette I was scrolling on Instagram waiting for him to come back in.

“The MAFS advert was the last thing I saw, and I joked, ‘Wouldn’t it be funny if I signed up?’

“A few beers later when I was back at home I sent in the application, and the rest is history.”

Another couple to make Mafs UK history is Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson.

Despite a slight rocky start, where they clashed over Jenna's vegan lifestyle, the show's first same sex pairing are still going strong.

They even have a successful podcast together called Life With a Pod.

Jenna shed light on being involved in the show earlier this year when she told us: "We're not legally married, and I never felt like we were. I definitely feel the process makes you take the relationship a lot more seriously and having the help of the experts… if you can survive that process it sets a firm foundation for a long-lasting relationship."
