Mary, 44, bravely spoke about her difficult teen years raising her son, Austin Babbitt, 27, as a single teen mother on .
The reality star reflected on growing up in Lapel, Indiana, which she described as being a "teeny, tiny, farmtown" in the candid interview.
She told dentist Dr. Richard Marques, who runs his celebrity-favourite clinic at London's 18 Wimpole St, "When I got pregnant, I was judged tremendously because I was THAT girl.
"And I embarrassed my family and everything and so I really had to walk around with that shame all the time and watch people judge me and whisper all the time so that really, really hurt me.
"But I realised, once I started the show, that I had to have gone through that now for me to be able to have the thicker skin I have now.
