Nick Knowles gives update on Strictly injury in new video as place on show hangs by a thread

NICK Knowles has given an update on his injury as his place on Strictly hangs by a thread.
The 62-year-old injured his shoulder while changing a car tyre over the weekend - just hours after his first Strictly Come Dancing performance.

The Sun revealed last night that - despite the DIY SOS host being in a sling - he would return to rehearsals today before being assessed by a show doctor.
Now Nick has spoken out, telling fans: "It's been an interesting few days.
"I've had a lot to think about. I've seen a lot of people, I've got loads of people trying to make everything work for me."
In a clip posted on Instagram, Nick continued: "I'm feeling good, arm's in a sling still to make sure that it's rested and that I'm not using it.

"But today I'm going to try and dance and see what my capabilities are.
"Luba [Mushtuk] is trying to prepare a dance that will work for me... it's a big day for me, I'm really hoping that we find out that I can dance on Saturday.
"I'd really like to stay part of the competition, so keep your fingers crossed for me!"
"Anxious" producers are said to have drafted an "emergency plan" to decide what to do next, and are hoping to keep the star on the show as they wait to hear from the medical team.

"They are all anxiously waiting to get the all clear from the medical team about Nick being able to compete this weekend, but are determined not to lose him from the show," a source told the Mail.
The insider said Nick could get a "free pass" to the following week, which is not unusual in these circumstances.

"He is such a popular figure with viewers, and if he needs time to recover he will get a free pass to return the following week, all being well," they continued.
"If that bothers other contestants, then so be it. The bosses want him back."
