During an emotional scene exclusively shared with The Sun from their honeymoon, the two reflect on where they stand romantically after several weeks together.

But barber Adam struggles to answer Polly's question about how he felt their relationship was progressing.

Seeking clarity, careers advisor Polly asks: "So how are you feeling now? You've said that you're, like, a bit of a slow burn. Like, how do you feel, like, now? Has the candle… has it been lit?"

Adam, however, is at a loss for words, replying: "I've just gone all giddy. My mind's gone blank. Erm… I was trying to wing it, and I need to actually think, don't I? Like, there's loads of pressure on me now."

Polly, speaking privately to E4 cameras, reveals her frustration with Adam’s lack of a definitive response.

She confesses: "It's making me feel a bit worried, cos I think that he should have been able to answer straight away."

Adam, however, continues to open up about his hesitation, explaining that their connection is something he hoped would grow with time.

He says: "Erm… I would like kind of, like, the physical and all the attraction to grow more. It's just something that we've obviously got to take day by day."

In a candid confessional, Adam admits that his hesitation stemmed from more than just being a "slow burner".

He says: "It's not part of me being a slow burner. It's more of probably not being my usual type and me being as fussy as I am.

MAFS bride stuns viewers with wedding night sex confession - despite him admitting she 'wasn't his type'

"As much as I don't want to be fussy, I've always been fussy. So that's why the affection hasn't continued and we haven't done it again, because I want to know where my head's at."

Adam also acknowledges the importance of intimacy in a relationship, but emphasises that they had not reached that level yet.

He says: "I think… intimacy is huge, like, the sexual side of things. We're not at that stage yet."

Polly, meanwhile, finds Adam’s indecision troubling.

In a confessional, she admits, "It feels a bit rubbish that he hasn't given me a definitive answer."

Welling up with tears, she adds: "I'm going to get upset. I definitely think it's bringing up insecurities because of previous relationships where I've been kind of torn down quite a lot.

"And I'm then going into this with a very good-looking man who I do fancy. Today was breaking point. But I did find it really difficult."

Adam came under fire before he even made it down the aisle after revealing his list of demands for the woman he was due to marry.

During a discussion before the big day, he revealed he was hoping for a stunning brunette that resembled Megan Fox to strut her stuff down the aisle.

He then further described his ideal scenario as having a mixture between Megan and Brassic actress Michelle Keegan.

However, viewers were quick to call out the groom and his "breathtaking audacity" to expect his partner to look like the A-list stunners, especially when he said that his bride Polly "wasn't what he was expecting" amid his hopes for a Megan or Michelle.

Earlier in their getaway, MAFS viewers were in disbelief as Polly and Adam were seen in bed, and then she made a sex confession.

Polly was heard saying: “So we were intimate on the wedding night and now it hasn’t happened all week.”

Adam was seen with his head down as Polly talked to him.

In the next clip, she was crying as she told the camera: “Today was breaking point, but I did find it really difficult.”

At their wedding, Adam clashed with Polly’s best friend, who took aim at the groom for not showering the bride with compliments as they tied the knot.

Later, in a piece-to-camera, Polly raved about her husband-to-be being ";very attractive" with a "beefy" physique and "nice haircut."

She gushed: "I do fancy him," but Adam's thoughts couldn't have been more different.

He admitted: "The initial attraction's not 100% there. She's not my usual type. A 10 out of 10 for me would be petite, brunette, dark features, tan. She's not what I expected."

Attendees were seen gasping and exchanging shocked glances as the scene was captured by camera crews.

Mafs couples that have stood the test of time

Loved-up Tayah Victoria and Adam Aveling of series six fame had the first Mafs baby.

The pair couldn't keep their hands off each other on the programme and quickly found their feet in the outside world, moving into Adam's Doncaster home.

Just 18 months after meeting, the couple welcomed their daughter Beau.

Season five couple Michelle Walder and Owen Jenkins also managed to make their marriage work away from the cameras and had their first child in December.

Teacher Michelle, 29, has no regrets about taking part in the experiment. She told us: “I just feel very lucky and thankful that it has worked out - and excited for everything to come.”

Michelle and Owen were both sick of dating apps when they applied in 2019.

Owen recalled: “I had been out for some drinks with a friend after work.

"While he was out for a cigarette I was scrolling on Instagram waiting for him to come back in.

“The MAFS advert was the last thing I saw, and I joked, ‘Wouldn’t it be funny if I signed up?’

“A few beers later when I was back at home I sent in the application, and the rest is history.”

Another couple to make Mafs UK history is Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson.

Despite a slight rocky start, where they clashed over Jenna's vegan lifestyle, the show's first same sex pairing are still going strong.

They even have a successful podcast together called Life With a Pod.

Jenna shed light on being involved in the show earlier this year when she told us: "We're not legally married, and I never felt like we were. I definitely feel the process makes you take the relationship a lot more seriously and having the help of the experts… if you can survive that process it sets a firm foundation for a long-lasting relationship."
