SISTER Wives stars, Meri and Kody Brown have reached the point of stalemate in their separation, but that is about to change.
Now Meri has stated her wish to be granted a release from the church, or in other words a divorce so that she can start afresh.
Alongside Kody’s three other wives, Meri wed him through their church, the Apostolic United Brethren, creating what they called a ‘covenant.”
But now Meri has decided that she wishes to terminate the contract, now that she is no longer married to Kody.
She said: “I I don't want to be, like, sealed to him for eternity if he doesn't want me," I'm at a place that like, let's just separate this completely."
Speaking in her confessional, the 53-year-old added that Kody was ‘kind of resistant’ to the idea of a ‘release,” which she put down to the fact that he was reluctant to ‘acknowledge the authority of the church leaders.”

But then Kody has come to release that their relationship is beyond repair. He said: “the damage was done so badly that we’re not going to reconcile no matter what.
So I am going to let Meri go and do her thing because if I am angry at her it becomes a fight. I needed her just to go away because it just took forever for her to finally realise its been done and over for years.”
Aware that she has "been living in limbo in this relationship for nearly a decade," Meri is "just not going to keep doing that."
"I'm moving forward with this," she concluded.

Together for more than 30 years, the couple confirmed their separation in January 2023 after which she enjoyed a brief relationship with Amos Andrews.
But Meri wasn’t alone, fellow wives, Christine Brown and Janelle Brown also chose to walk away within a year of each other. Not Robyn Brown is Kody’s only remaining wife.
