Love Island legend Tasha, 26, flashed a confident smile as she happily waved at the paparazzi before wizzing away in a black clab.

Her co-star, Towie's Pete looked less excited but managed to muster a thumb's up.

Returning pro dancer Dianne Buswell led the way with comedian Chris McCausland, who wore a stylish Fred Perry jacket.

Tasha has been paired with returning pro Aljaz Skorjanec, and recently said her Love Island boyfriend Andrew Le Page, 29, needn't worry about the Strictly curse.

She said: "He has no worries at all. If anything, he was super-happy and could see the great partnership we had. He came to rehearsals the other day and watched for a little bit.

"Aljaz taught Andrew some dance moves, which was funny."

"Aljaz is so happy with his wife [Janette Manrara] and we went on a double date last night, and had a lovely dinner with their beautiful daughter, Lyra.

"Andrew’s been so supportive through it all."

Pete has been partnered with Jowita Przystał and they've already broken a show rule where rehearsals are concerned.

For the first live show, they’ll perform a Paso Doble.

He said they were ‘told off’ for not posting anything on social media together while rehearsing.

Some fans have also suggested Pete could be the 'dark horse' of the competition this year.

Eagle-eyed fans are convinced Pete - who claims to be clueless when it comes to dancing - isn't being entirely honest about his skills.

Sharing their thoughts on a Strictly forum, one viewer said: "My mate reckons Pete being the only one doing the paso in Week One is a ‘power move’ and indicates he’s better than he’s trying to let on in his pre show interviews.

Strictly 2024 pairings

Here's who is matched with who this series...

"It shows they’re quietly confident because they could run the risk of negative comparisons to Nigel [Harman's] from last year if it’s a bit naff!"

Agreeing, another said: "I tend to agree, I feel in his intro video he is making out he going to be awful but kind of knows he isn’t."
