MAFS UK ‘quitter’ Charlie takes swipe at wife Eve and joins fans slamming her

MARRIED At First Sight star Charlie Curtis has seemingly taken a swipe at her wife Eve after it appeared they quit the show.

The two brides tied the knot on the E4 wedding experiment this week – and seemed to hit it off, even admitting to sleeping together quickly after their nuptials.

However, their honeymoon in Mexico quickly drove a wedge between them, with Eve refusing to share a hotel room with her new wife.

The situation escalated to a series of rows, which ultimately resulted in Charlie declaring she was quitting the show completely.

While we're yet to see if she followed through on her threat, Charlie broke her silence on Instagram, sharing grabs from the ill-fated honeymoon and joking: "On the plus side, Mexico was beautiful, every cloud and all that."

However, in the comments she seemed to jump in on viewers who were slamming Eve for not fully committing to the role.

When one fan wrote: "Your missus was out of order imo. Sleeping in a separate bed 3 nights in a row. On honeymoon? Nah." Charlie quickly clarified,"Six nights in a row* thank youuuu xx"

Amy Christophers, who took part in the series back in 2021, dropped her a line and joked: "The Mexico honeymoon curse continues!"

"Omg no way! This is mad" joined Charlie in response, alongside a string of laughing emojis, branding the beach destination "No go Mexico".

During the Mexico stay, Charlie expressed her frustrations that Eve "shut down" when they tried to address their problems, prompting her new wife to storm off multiple times.

On the third and final time this happened, caused Charlie hit out and slammed Eve for "walking away" from their issues, prompting Eve to say she was just "taking herself out of the situation.";

"You don't respect anything I say or do!" Charlie said, prompting Eve to hit back angrily and out of sight, saying she "was not listening" to the accusation.

She then told Charlie not to "shout" at her despite Charlie largely keeping her composure – and in response Charlie said that she was done with the series.

She shouted out to Eve: "I'll be leaving the experiment now.

"They'll be no moving in together, no apartments, nothing - Goodbye!"

"I'll go and enjoy my evening - alone," she continued. "Like I have done all f***ing honeymoon."

As the episode drew to a close, it remains to be seen if Charlie and Eve will return to the show or if their marriage is one of the programme's least successful to date.
