EastEnders legend Tamzin Outhwaite, 53, reveals she’s SPLIT from toyboy boyfriend, 33, after six years together

TAMZIN Outhwaite has split up from her boyfriend Tom Child.

The 53-year-old and Tom, 33, called time on their six year romance over the summer.

Speaking about the break-up, the EastEnders actress said: “There has been no acrimonious ending; we’ve moved on to a friend zone. We are still really great mates, which is nice.”

Tamzin went on to say how she was happy on her, telling the :  “Maybe before now, I’ve been single but not happy.

“But I’m quite happy. And being single and happy is a really lovely place to be. And that can only happen with life experience.”

The star was previously married to Miranda star Tom Ellis, who she shares two daughter with.

The pair split when Tom reportedly confessed to cheating on her with a co-star in 2013, with reports claiming it was a one night stand.

Tamzin, who played Mel Owen on the BBC soap, then started dating Tom after meeting at a yoga class.

She has previously gushed over how great he is with her two girls, Marnie and Florence.

And she praised him for making her life better, and hit back at those thinking she was having a mid-life crisis by dating a younger man.

She said at the time: "People think I’m having a midlife crisis, but not all men want a younger woman.

“Tom’s very good for my mental and physical health.

"He reminds me to just breathe if I’m not having a great time."

Discussing how they met in the past, she said: "We met years before we went on a date.

"Our eyes met across a crowded yoga studio, and we’ve been together for more than two years now.

"We have a lovely time. It’s comfortable and we make each other happy.

"I'm living in the now and not worrying about it because I don’t have to, as there’s nothing we desperately want or need from each other."
