And she’s one of the masterminds behind the couples who get married on MAFS, and decided, with Paul and Mel, to put Emma and Caspar together.

But what they didn’t foresee is that New Forest based gardener Caspar would discover that his wife Emma reminds him a great deal of his sister.

This week, as the new series got off to an explosive start, the head gardener, 34, admitted he was not feeling the sexual chemistry with sales manager Emma, 31, after he compared her to his sister.

The newlyweds sit down for a chat following a full 24 hours of being married.

Caspar tells Emma: "I've been struggling, I don't know if you've felt it. But I haven't felt that spark I was hoping to feel."

Trying to gain some clarity, Emma asks: "What started off those feelings?"

Caspar admits that some of the things Emma did on their wedding day reminded him of his sister.

A confused Emma says: "What did I do?"

He explains: "Watching you and her laugh together, there's an element and sort of mannerisms - I'm equating one with the other and it's not good."

But despite this initial roadblock in their relationship, Charlene told The Sun that it could actually make their marriage stronger.

She explained: “The thing is, everyone’s response to this situation is different isn’t it.

“Because for someone people if you’re dating someone who reminds you of a family member they’d be like, oh, it kind of gives me a nice, warm, fuzzy feeling.

“Almost like you’d feel like they were really connected with your family.

“And particularly seeing how well Emma was obviously really connecting with his family, you know, for some guys that would be the dream.”

Charlene said it would be “like a sign from the universe,” and continued to add: “But you can also understand how it could feel a little bit uncomfortable.

“I think if you know the expectations that you're going to be intimate with your new partner the fact that you thought they might look like or resemble a family member makes you understand how that could feel a bit a bit creepy.

“But I think for so many other people that your new partner really getting on with your family and connecting with your family could be great, almost like ‘the universe has sent me a wife.’”

The couple faced another challenge in their marriage this week, after Caspar brutally put her down by saying: "I've rarely gone for the curvier person," leaving his bride gobsmacked.

She replies: "Do you think I look sexy tonight?"

A panicked Caspar is left breathing heavily as Emma asks: "But you don't think I'm sexy?"

Caspar bluntly replies: "No."

Emma went on: "So you didn't fancy me and you don't fancy me, right?"

"Not currently no, lets be honest," Caspar admits.

Emma hits back and issued him some advice - saying he needs to work on his own outlook before judging women on their appearance.

She responds: "If you didn't think I was sexy in my f***ing wedding dress and my gorgeous bikini today, I don't know what hope there is."

Clearly astonished by his comment, she put him in his place by saying: "But what we're here to do is look beyond that and what you need to do is look beyond that because my personality, my confidence should help you be more confident and you should see qualities bigger than my clothes size.

"You need to work on your view of women."
