ACTRESS Gemma Arterton has revealed she had to battle a top director who tried to force her into filming a sex scene.
The former Bond Girl, 38, said he told her, “You’re going to sh*g on the bed” in a last-minute plot change.
Gemma said she had only signed to the unnamed project on the promise the romp would be heard, not seen.
The star, who now avoids sex scene roles, said: “He put pressure on us on the day.
"The other actor was mortified. There were very high-profile people there.
“I said, ‘You can’t do that, I’m flat out not doing it.

"I don’t care if you think I’m difficult’, but I only felt like I could say that because I was older.”
She : “It would have been really hard [to say no] when I was younger.
"You might get the sack, or get a terrible reputation.
“It was before we had intimacy coordinators, who are the go-between now — it’s a totally different landscape.

Gemma, who has been in several film romps, notably with Daniel Craig’s 007 in Quantum of Solace, said: “When I started acting, there was a lot of nudity. You were just expected to do it.
“It didn’t fulfil me, it wasn’t fun.
"It didn’t feel like I was flexing my acting muscles.” She added that success means she now chooses the roles she wants.
