CORONATION Street’s Bethany Platt is going to be left fighting for her life when she gets sepsis in a dramatic new storyline.
The journalist - who is played by actress Lucy Fallon in the ITV soap - is at the centre of a major new storyline that will plunge the Platt family into harrowing devastation.
Bethany will end up becoming embroiled in a dodgy cosmetic surgery practice where she will go under the knife.
But in a harrowing turn, she will get a life-threatening infection and end up in hospital with her family praying that she pulls through.
A source revealed: “It’s a really meaty storyline for Lucy to get her teeth into.
“Dodgy cosmetic surgery is a big issue and it can have catastrophic side effects and the hope is that this storyline will make people more aware of that.
