JOEL Dommett has revealed a HUGE National Television Awards shake-up that will shock fans.

Appearing on an episode of Staying Relevant Podcast, the TV star shared the big news with hosts Sam Thompson and Pete Wicks.

Speaking about taking every opportunity, Joel said: "I'm the opening to the NTAs this year. Have I even told you this? I don't think I have. It's special."

"Why?" Sam asked.

Joel continued: "It's real special. I don't know whether I'm allowed to tell you, but I'm going to do it.

"Umm, unless ITV decides it's not good enough and they cancel it, I'm doing a song."

"Shut the f**k up you're going to sing?" Sam shouted.

"I'm going to sing because it's really hard, like singing. I'm singing, I've written the song, and I'm singing it at the start of the NTAs," Joel replied.

Pete asked: "You're sing an original?"

"An original," Joel confirmed.

This will be the fourth time Joel has hosted the glitzy awards show.

Speaking about returning for another year, he said: "I’m returning to host the biggest awards show in television."

So much to look forward to, so many awards, so many faces. It’s gonna be huge.

"The TV Expert category is back –one of my faves – and I am back – one of my mum’s faves.

"Keep your eyes peeled for the vote opening – and make it count."

Meanwhile, King Of The Jungle Sam Thompson and reality star best mate Pete Wicks will be reprising their roles as the NTA Red Carpet reporters for this year's ceremony.

The National TV Awards takes place on Wednesday, September 11, 2024.
